How to Get There
This hotel offers a unique location and treat their customers (especially IHG members) with great attentions. It feels more like a boutique hotel than a chain.
The lobby is narrow for check-in/checkout but a few macarons will make you feel welcome.
They offer a decent gym for a downtown Paris location. Prices can be high, I will be watching for future sales.
I’ve checked in yesterday night, 13th of September 2019. Nothing could predict I would have any troubles here as hotel looks lovely and it is situated in the center of the city. However I was unpleasantly surprised by discovering that my bed sheets were wet. I called to reception and all I’ve got was a set of fresh bed linens. The staff just gave it to me and he said he will not make my bed, that if I want to sleep on dry bed sheets, I have to change bedsheets by myself. I think not even hostels ask their guests to make the bed. Shall I also vacuum my room by myself or shall I clean windows? Why 4stars hotel provides wet beds and refuses to change bed sheets? The staff said it was not his responsibility. I asked him to call somebody who is on charge of that and he said he was alone. Then I asked him to change my room as I was not willing to sleep on wet bedsheets, but he said they didn’t have other rooms available. Then I asked him to call a manager and the staff left my room. He said that 100% he will not make my bed and maximum he can do is to collect wet sheets when I change them. I called him again asking for manager. He said that manager is not available till tomorrow and he will come and make my bed. Very slowly and with different comments he finally made it leaving my bed in miserable stage, kindly refer to photo I attached. All this took one hour, I could go to bed at 1 am but obviously I couldn’t sleep after all this drama and humiliation. I couldn’t even prepare a chamomile tea for myself to calm down a bit because there is no kettle in the room. I don’t know if that’s their usual practice or they just have something against me personally.
We stayed 4 nights in a suite which was very space, quite with all comforts, except for a space wardrobe. The room looks newly made with expensive materials and good style, but its architect seems to have missed a few points. Neverthess, the experience has been more than positive, for its wonderful breakfast, its central position and friendly personnel.
