Pros and cons
Reviewed 3 weeks ago

This hotel definitely has some pros and cons. The location is great, right near the opera, nicely decorated and clean but this hotel has some big flaws. I booked a regular suite, but we were “upgraded” to the split level suite, which has a living room area and a ½ bath downstairs and the bedroom + bathroom was up a steep, narrow staircase (note: there was no tub, only a shower). Since it’s at the very top of the building, all of the walls upstairs were angled, so given the small room, it was very annoying to have to pay attention to not hit your head, especially in the bathroom. If you are tall, I would definitely take a pass on this room. The biggest issue with the room is that the climate was impossible to control. The upstairs was way too hot and the downstairs way too cold. It was incredibly uncomfortable. When we complained, they just brought a space heater for downstairs, which didn’t really work that well, and there was nothing to do about the bedroom, since the windows did not open. I thought I booked a room with a rollaway sofa, but this room just had a little couch that they made up as a bed. However, we arrived from New York around 8am in the morning and they let us check in so we could get some sleep, which was huge. We skipped the breakfast since it was very overpriced. They don’t have a concierge, so if you need a lot of help, I would pass on this hotel. The one time I asked about nearby restaurants, they directed us to an area that was not even on a map (she told me to go the “Grand Boulevard” but there is no such thing. It refers to an area, that is more known by locals.

Small reception, but the hotel has good number of rooms. rooms are spacious enough, bed is good, and the shower in the bathroom a very good experience- large space with water from ceiling but closed with glass door.
breakfast is extra, but has a good selection of bread, boiled eggs, cereals, fruits, variety of juices. ask the kitchen and they'll make you an omelette.

Beautiful quirky design throughout this small chic hotel. Very friendly staff. Excellent location just off a major street but one with no traffic in front of the hotel. Charming restaurants 30 seconds away.
5 minutes walk to the opera metro stop. Wonderful breakfast served every morning by very nice staff.
Every guest is given a cell phone to use during their stay at no charge. The decor is very upbeat and fun. This is a perfect location for walking to everything you want to see.

Nice hotel in a great location. Well appointed with good facilities - bath room etc.. Funny minibar policy - its included in the room but there is no alcohol in there and only a couple of soft drinks!

Good location!

Stay here for the first time and book junior suite queen with sofa bed. As we travelled 2 adults and 2 kids , we thought that the room was suitable enough for us. Unfortunately due to the safety reason , the hotel required us to book one more room.
Anyway, the front desk team give us 50% discount for the second room. We are happy with it.

The rooms were so clean and the bed was so comfy. We loved it!

The hotel location was excellent, it’s only need 5 minutes by walking to reach Galeries Lafayette ( big high end shopping mall).

The hotel also surrounded by boutique such as GAP, H&M, Zara etc. Also, there are supermarkets nearby such as monoprix or carréfour (5-7 minutes by walking).

Lots of eateries around this hotel also.

Free WIFI was excellent.

Unfortunately, the breakfast we had was pathetic ... no hot item only boiled egg. The cold item only cheese and ham. But they have fruits and some breads though.

Overall we are happy with our stay.

Only one minor thing that IHG / Indigo hotel management should take care of it, as a spire elite member we got a welcome gift from front desk staff unfortunately the chocolate was expired but they already gave us a plate of fruits as a compensation. We do appreciate it.
Thank you ..
