How to Get There
This year we made sure to book a room with a sofa - so a larger room. Bathroom spacious with plenty of storage area for toiletries. Huge shower. Very, very comfortable. Staff really lovely. The breakfast is delicious - the baguettes with their special jams are divine.
A very posh, boutique Hotel just 400 meters from the Opera House. I have stayed there over 100 nights during the last 4 months. The rooms are large, fresh, modern and very chic. It really gives the living room/studio feeling. While luxury, there is a warm and genuine sense of familiarity with all the staff. Always ready to assist, ever prepared to cater to any needs. The culinary operation is also noteworthy. While the menu could use a remake, the quality, atmosphere and willingness to accommodate "a la carte" requests, makes the whole experience unique and formidable. Particular thanks to Ines, Myriam, Victor and Claire for all their help, outstanding professionalism and excellent service. A tres bientot!
Picked this hotel because I’m an IHG member and Intercontinental next door was doing some construction work. The only thing Indigo Paris has going for it is the location.
We had three adults stay in a room and the hotel charged us $50 euros extra per night. The “upgraded” room we got was nothing more but a standard room plus sofa that converts to a sofa bed. They also kept failing to bring us extra slipper and bottle of water after multiple times of asking. Both the bedsheets on the bed and sofa bed were dirty (stains/something stuck on sheets) or ripped.
The room also had a weird set up- the toilet was next to the door when you walk in but there’s no sink and you’d need to walk around to the actual bathroom in order to wash hands. Very annoying in the middle of the night. Also the gym of the hotel is very dingy and dirty, all the yoga/Pilates have shoe prints all over them. Used towels were just strewn about because there’s no designated dirty basket.
The worst experience was checking out. They tried to charged us breakfast for the day we arrived, even though we checked in at 2pm and definitely did not have breakfast that day. (We did have breakfast the next day, and it was poor value for the price paid. The servers also had bad attitudes and barely paid attention to us.) They called the extra person charge an “upsell”. Upsell for what? Shouldn’t it be extra person charge? We definitely didn't get a better room.
We asked them to call us a taxi going to the airport and to tell the driver we’ll need to be dropped off at both terminal 1 and 2. The taxi driver arrived promptly and helped us carry our luggage out (note that the hotel staff never tried to help us with luggage. The hotel is located in an alley inaccessible to cars so you’d need to drag your luggage in and out yourself, rain or shine).
When we got in the car and talking amongst ourselves the driver realized we’d need to be dropped off at two different terminals, he looked surprised and said “that would be 15 euros more”. It was raining hard that day or else I would’ve gotten out and called Uber.
Would not recommend staying here.
This is the second time that I stayed at Indigo Paris and it was a wonderful stay. The location is perfect, the staff is super friendly and the hotel atmosphere is modern and cozy at the same time.
They have a mobile in every room that the guest can uses outside the city free of charge. It helps a lot to enjoy even more the City of Lights.
It is definitely becoming my favorite spot in Paris.
First the good: there is a lot to like, such as the location on a quiet street in a busy tourist area. Easy access to transportation, shopping, main sites. The considerable down side: they can't turn on their AC before May, and a completely unsympathetic staff. So on even a modestly warm day like today (high ~70F), the rooms (all SW facing) become ovens. Leaving windows open at night not an option for security reasons, since the same unbroken balcony connects all rooms on the same floor. Management seemed unwilling or unable to provide a solution ("our fan is already with another guest") Nothing was offered as an accommodation - only a "it's out of my hands" shrug. Worse still, there were no convenient hotels to move to (am only here because other nearby options were sold out. Won't be back.
