How to Get There
A nice cozy boutique hotel.Excellent staff at front desk. The bus takes you to the city centre from the door step luterally.I prefetred it to the metro as you get to see the city. The breakfast was good and we could eat around as the location of the hotel was very ideal.Get the rooms that open on the pierre avenue as the back side doesnt offer a good view. They arrNged an airlort shuttle on the way back. The stFf gave me numbers for ordering take away meals. The room was comfortable and good size.
My daughter and I returned to Hotel Gaston for a second visit in the early Spring after our previous November trip. She and I had decided to see Paris in both seasons and take our time with the sites we wanted to see. We love the neighborhood feel of the Gaston and everyone who works there is pleasant, accommodating and good resources for which direction to head as we go out the door: Merci beaucoup!
A few days before Valentine’s Day my wife found a travel offer to Paris. We had previously discussed going as I knew it was on her bucket list and I took a few semester of French in college and always wanted to visit. So we booked this deal which was round trip air with a hotel including breakfast. Lucky for us we were booked into Hotel Gaston, a little boutique hotel in a neighborhood setting a short walking distance to the Arc de Triomphe. We would also utilize taxis to further destinations on our excursions.
Upon arrival we were greeted by Luic. Since my French was not that good it was a relief that he spoke English.
The room was quite chic and comfortable, a bit small by excessive American standards, but perfect for our stay. The only thing that did not work for us was the USB port to charge our phones but we had a electrical adapter so it wasn’t an issuer for us and They said they would be repairing it right after we checked out.
The complimentary breakfast was good with a nice selection. A selection of different croissants and breads, salami, ham and cheeses, fresh fruit, cereals, yogurts, milk, fresh squeezed juices, and a coffe/espresso machine that was available 24 hours.
The home feel and hospitality of Jennifer & Luic, Who both spoke english, was outstanding!! I feel as if I now have two very good friends in Paris.
Since the weather was not completely cooperating with us during our stay we were not able to do everything we had wanted to do. The good part about that is now we will have to return to Paris and we will definitely stay with our friends at Hotel Gaston.
Hotel Gaston is awesome, super clean, amazing breakfast, comfy bed and best of all is the staff. The front desk, housekeeping, the breakfast attendants were all so helpful and made the trip perfect. The front desk arranged all of our transportation as well as giving us the best ideas of where to eat locally.
Cute little hotel in a residential neighborhood. The rooms are modern and clean, but EXTREMELY SMALL. The walls are very thin, which led to me hearing the elevator all night and my noisy neighbors. The staff was very friendly, but there is no full time housekeeping or room service. Overall, pretty good for the price but needs some work.
