How to Get There
I chose this hotel based on room size, number/ size of beds, (queen and a twin) and location. What I was given was a room half the size I reserved and a broken cot for my son to sleep on. I complained and after showing what I booked and much debate. In the end they made it good with two rooms. Which the one room had a broken shower head.
The staff was very polite and I believe this was all issue with booking.com
The location was very pleasant. It was a simple light breakfast.
The room was barely large enough for two people to walk around the bed to get to the bathroom—-a couple hooks for hanging up clothes—- good for staying a night or two; a little out of the way for seeing the sights— around 20 euro taxi ride to Eiffel Tower, le louvre area— the staff was really nice 👍
I was taking my grandson on his first trip to Paris. Room small but very clean and pleasant. Got twin beds as requested and room ready early when we arrived. Thankful for air conditioning which worked very well and had individual room controls. Lovely view to trees. Staff very cheerful, kind and helpful (finding restaurants, getting us ice, calling taxi, giving advice on how to best get places).
We were only in Paris for one day/night for a layover so I found this hotel ahead of time & booked online. It was hard to find the "right" hotel for just a night but I wanted something that said Paris. Hotel Gaston did not disappoint us! This was not a huge hotel but the pictures of the rooms & hallways got my attention. We felt safe walking in the neighborhood that night. Walking distance to the Arc de Triomphe & plenty of restaurants. The room was a little small as to be expected in Europe but still was plenty enough for the two of us & our luggage, very cozy. The view from our room #402 was wonderful to see the beautiful buildings across the street. We found the hotel, room, bed, bathroom & breakfast area all to be very comfortable. The staff were very friendly explaining the metro location & getting us a cab the next morning. This was a great choice for us & a wonderful way to end our trip.
Nice hotel, good breakfast for 3***. Good area in Paris for biz trips. Not many tourists. But in the bathroom it was film tape on the shower tap...and also on the socket. Hope they renovate the rooms.
