Could’ve been amazing

I went with my best friend for a week long trip to Paris and as I booked everything I wanted it to be perfect. I had been emailing the hotel a week or so prior to arriving to confirm details as we last minute added dates and wanted the same room. The hotel was very accommodating and promised balloons and macaroons and welcome card to the room at arrival (as it was for a birthday celebration). We were promised a lot of things about the hotel and what it offers. When we arrived, the room was Gorgeous with a balcony and view of the Eiffel Tower (which was A happy perk as it was the only room available when we agreed to upgrade at a pre agreed price of €60). But no balloons, nothing we were promised, the standard hello card said Mr Dennis rather than Miss. ignored it and continued on as we didn’t mind, however 2 mornings across the 6 days their system wasn’t working and the fire alarm went off, once at 8am and another at 6am - on the 7th floor we weren’t impressed. They have a dessert table from 3.30-6 and during previous correspondence we were told macaroons and other Parisian treats, but wasn’t quite like that, it was popcorn and crisps. They had building works in the hotel which I imagine was the reason for the alarm going off and so there was a lot of noise during this period. I addressed these issues with the hotel at the time and they said there was nothing they can do and regarding the pre visit promises they also ignored and they apologised and said these things were suppose to happen but they were never put in the room. Lovely attempt, just not impressed and will think hard before going again.

This is definitely not a 4*hotel

I stayed in this hotel with my Mum for her 70th birthday trip to Paris. Whilst most of the staff were friendly and helpful in directing us to where we wanted to go, as soon as we arrived I felt very disappointed and nearly made the decision to move hotels. The foyer was shabby and very worn with threadbare carpets and wires hanging down the walls. We needed to use the bathroom which was down a flight of stairs- no lights were on and we had to walk through a room with furniture stacked on top of each other which it smelled damp and was very dirty. The room itself was ok which is why we thought we would stay (we only had two nights and didn’t want to waste sightseeing time). On the first night we were woken by a fire alarm at 6:30am- there was a completely useless man on duty who had no idea what to do or how to reassure guests. He ran around like a headless chicken- it was ridiculous to say the least. Breakfast was very simple but ok. On the hotel information it says they will give you an ‘express breakfast’ if you need it before 7:00 am, which we did on our departure day. I asked about it and was just told ‘no it is not possible’. This hotel is definitely a let down and a 2* at the very most.

the hotel was nice but there was some working I think it was for innovation which discomfort our stay a little bit but generally the stay and the hotel location was all right the breakfast hall was also small
