How to Get There
We stayed one night at this hotel on our way to the south. It was well located and plenty of parking nearby. The room was clean and well furnished and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was nice too. The staff at this hotel were very friendly and kind. We had such a nice night that we stayed there again for one night on our way home. We had another comfortable night. I will definitely stay here again. Thank you
We just completed a week long stay in Paris at Hotel Eden. The hotel is small and in a not so touristy section of town...both of which I think are good things. Nice modern lobby and shared spaces with nice little workout room as well. The Vaugirard metro train station is 200 yards away and very accessible. Numerous restaurants and grocery/utility stores are all within 1-3 blocks in any direction. Eiffel Tower is closest main attraction maybe a 20-25 min walk at good pace but easy to access via metro train. The hotel is really quite nice. We stayed in a Superior Triple room (had 3 adult travelers) and had no issues related to space or cleanliness. Room was very modern, clean and sufficiently large for us. Great bath area with huge shower. Toilet room is separate and small but who cares. Bedroom is separate room with private door from toilet and bath and had great comfortable king bed with separate twin/pullout which was very good sized and comfortable. Decent amount of closet space and a small balcony to get some fresh air. We did not eat at the hotel so I won't rate the food. Breakfast was available for like 15eur PP which isn't too bad for a big city hotel but there are far cheaper options just steps out the door and we took those options. Room service was timely each day and did great job. Front desk staff were kind and spoke very good English (we are American) and made us feel comfortable. Our only issue was the air conditioning. We are American southerners who like to feel cool when we sleep. To be clear the hotel absolutely has A/C. You can set the thermostat to a maximum low setting of 20C which is about 70F. That would be fine except the A/C just can't match that output under heavy hot conditions. Weather was around 90F each day so we were careful to keep the room dark. Also on our own we purchased a throw away small fan ($20 at local store like Target .5mile from hotel) and plugged it in to supplement the AC. Once we did and being careful to keep the room dark and the bedroom door closed we were fine at night but surely not as cool as we normally would be. I suspect this is very normal AC functionality so if you expect arctic cold hotel rooms in Europe during hot weather you probably won't get it anywhere in this price range. But we bought the fan and left it there and was money well spent. That was really the only minor negative for the hotel. Overall great stay and very reasonable rate for a triple so would surely consider staying there again if we ever go back. If had been cool months would probably have given full 5 rating without hesitating!
Really nice hotel staffs: Olga, Mohamed, Manager, tall guy with moustache, and 2 breakfast ladies: Nacira and Alexandria.
English speaking, friendly and warm, can engage in small talk. Some even
taught me French language, ;D
Made me feel at ease, relaxed, and Special. :)
Housekeeping is attentive to your needs too, they clean up when i am
out, and did not disturb me at all. Changes towels and tidies up everyday.
Hotel is near Metro (Vaugirard) and Carrefour and Leaderprix (cheaper,
smaller), supermarkets are nearby. Downstairs next door a boulangerie sells bread and pastries and nearby
have a few too..bus stop is not far, 2 left turns from hotel and walk til u see Matsuyama, a jap restaurant,
bus stops visible from there.
Can see Effiel tower from hotel, walking there takes 25mins if u able to navigate well with google maps..otherwise, just take bus 80, or u end up getting lost for nearly 2 hours like me..:(
Expo is 2 metro stops away. Must enter from right direction, ticket cannot be re-used once u exit station.
Kettle and hot water (eau chaud) available at Lobby. May have calcium (white flakes) in kettle water, normal for france..(I didn know then..haha)
Toilet is separated from Bathroom, a
cubicle by itself. Big size ppl will have difficulty but ok for me.
Breakfast (additional charge) is a good spread, with crossiants, Pain au chocolat, baguettes, white bread, cheese, ham, jams and spreads..my favourites were the fruit puree, honey spread, and EGGs (cook by
yourself, experiment with the time and have fun exploring the doneness of each egg!). fresh fruits like
bananas, apples, kiwis, grapefruit.
Coffee dispensor and tea bags.
Just be careful not to go out after 10pm, can hear drunk people speaking loudly, especially more during weekends.
Overall, I will return to this hotel again if i have a chance to come back to Paris, because it is filled with warm people. 😊
Thank you for making me feel comfortable here. :)
Hotel Eden Is a lovely small and charming hotel. It is in a quiet, mostly residential section of Paris, offering a respite from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy areas. Rooms are very clean and staff is attentive. Although there is air conditioning, the upper floors are a bit warm since the A/C cannot be set below 20 C. A variety of options are offered for breakfast, providing a healthy and convenient way to start a day of site-seeing.
We booked 2 rooms in this hotel for 2 couple and 2 kids. We were given room 302 & 306. Rooms were nice and clean but too small for a family. In room 306, we had requested an extra bed but the bed was not made when we checked in. Staff was really nice and he prepared the sofa bed in no time. After putting extra bed, there was hardly any space to walk around the room. Same in room 302,no space at all. There was no tea/coffee facilities in the room so had to go down to get the hotel water in middle of the night which was not very convenient. Staffs we came across were very nice and polite. We wanted to book a hotel near Eiffel Tower but this hotel is bit far away.
