Service was exceptional.

Whilst we were very disappointed in the room size, and found it necessary to move hotels, the reception not only advised but also assisted in our move to a more expensive hotel. The breakfast was excellent and had we not needed more space, Duc is ideal location, clean and good value, with wonderfully pleasant staff

Small hotel on a 5 star location

This hotel is situated in the center at a five minute walk from the Centre Pompidou and a 15 min walk from the Notre Dame. The Metro is 50 mtrs from the hotel. It is a small hotel with very friendly and helpful personnel.
There is a very small elevator that fits only 2 persons without luggage. You sometimes have to wait a long time for the elevator to come down to the reception as the cleaning personnel also uses this elevator.
Our quiet room was on the back side without any view but a (nice) drawing in a sort of hallway. It had a good working airco so no fresh air was required. The bathroom was clean and good. Closing the door to the room woke up the whole floor as it clamped.
Breakfast was very good.
We were surprised when we saw the room price on the back of the door, because the location is more then worth it but not the room itself. Lucky for us we had a good package deal with a Dutch tour operator.

Wonderful hotel conveniently positioned

I could not have asked for better. The hotel was tidy and clean - room was adequate and the staff lovely. The free breakfast was marvellous and included Madelaine sponges, creamy yogurts, scrambled eggs, toast, jams, cereals, orange juice, meats, croissants etc. On one side of the hotel not far away is the Metro and on the other the RER train station "Chatelet-les Halles" that goes into the "Forum Des Halles" a large shopping centre. There is a FNAC shop here if you are interested in vinyl records, CDs, DVDs and Hi-fi/electronics. There are souvenir and other shops close by and many restaurants. It is not far from Notre Dame. The hotel has stamps and can post your letters or cards for you. There is also a post office nearby. It is a small hotel with a tiny lift but being centrally located it is worth the stay. Highly recommended.

Small hotel in a great location

A nice hotel in a great location! 5-10 minutes walking from Pompidou center and the Louvre and metro station. lots of cafes, bars and restaurants near by, but the best part is the delicious boulangerie around the corner.
The hotel itself is nice and clean. My room for two was tiny (overlooked the street), but my mom’s room for single was bigger, (no view) so I guess it’s related...
The only thing I didn’t like was breakfast. Always had to ask the hotel workers to set up the table, and look for cutlery/cups etc.

Great place.

Nice hotel if you just need a place to sleep while exploring Paris. We had a suite since we were 4. Two adults and two children. Not 5 point here because I had to sit down to take a shower. I am 190cm and the shower wasn’t made for me, but ofcourse I could take a bath instead in the bathtub. On the other hand, Metro, shopping, bars and restaurants just outside the door. At the front desk there were a great old man, hemofili and service minded.
