Maybe we got a bad room but ours had filthy carpet and was much in need of an update. We were on the 6th floor. I will say the bathroom was updated, but because we were on the top floor with a slanted ceiling it was a tub only. Front desk staff was nice and there were plenty of close by restaurants and metro/RER.

BEWARE OF BED BUGS!
cjweitz

I stayed at Hotel Des Ducs d'Anjou at the beginning of August 2019.
I woke up at 2am to find at least 5 bugs crawling all around the sheets and bed. One of them I picked up with a tissue and smashed it, it was full of blood. It was disgusting.
I immediately told the man at the front desk. He inspected the room, took pictures and then moved me to a different room, however I received no reimbursement for the distress. And even after disputing it with my credit card company backing me, the hotel did not reimburse me! This was also disgusting.

I have video footage that further proves which room I was in on the hotel grounds that I will not hesitate to inform travelers with elsewhere or use if my review is disputed.

The hotel is definitely old but does have the quaint charm of boutique hotels in Paris. Perhaps too outdated and hence the bed bug problem. I stayed in the room that faced the streets the front door faces. It has orange decor. If you are in this room or any room, set an alarm to wake up after being asleep for 2-3 hours. Bed bugs come out from the carbon monoxide you give off. You will definitely find bed bugs. Good luck!

Great hotel

I stayed at the hotel for 7 days. The room size is similar to ones in Europe ( a little on the smaller side). The AC is the room was helpful, considering it was hot in France during my stay.
The bathoom is small but I was ok with it. There is water in fridge and kettle for tea. The hotel is located centrally, literally steps away from Chatelet metro stop (look for the Rue Sante Opportune exit at the metro). You can also take the RER at the stop to get you to and from CDG airport.
I was very impressed by the staff. Whenever I had a question(regarding tours, maps, places to eat, visit) they were very happy to help. Thank you !!
There is no shortage of resturants, bars, cafe's around the hotel. They are also open late so can get a little noisy, but it did not bother me at all.
The breakfast (if included in your stay) is decent. They have a decent spread of bread, cheese, sausage (not very tasty), and eggs. It is enough to fill you up until mid-day.
The only complaint I had was the wifi. It was very spotty, especially in the evenings and night. I found it very slow at times.
If I come back to Paris, I would definitely consider stay here
