Fantastic Location and Front Desk
Reviewed 2 days ago

Hotel Dorsay is a lovely, clean hotel right by some of the best museums in Paris. You can walk everywhere. The attentive and knowledgeable front desk was a highlight of my stay. I was always greeted with a smile and provided with excellent recommendations for places to eat and things to do. They also kindly helped to arrange some cabs for me. My room was cozy (I had a club room) but it had made good use of the space. I appreciated the coffee and water provided and the bath products were nice. The beds were comfortable and the room was well decorated with lots of natural light. Unfortunately, the shower area was poorly ventilated and so the bathroom mirror stayed foggy for quite some time. Also, there was no conditioner. The hotel is both quiet and beautiful and I really enjoyed my stay here!

An elegant place to return to if you like being on the Left Bank

We are a family of 4 staying in the Family Suite for a total of 3 nights (we split our stay into 2 parts).

I made a last minute booking directly with this hotel since the first hotel we stayed at was far from satisfactory in terms of location and hospitality.

Email communication by Yuliya was courteous and timely. Front desk service by Rasy was exemplary.

The overall feeling once you arrive at this hotel is a sense of quiet elegance. Our room consisted of 1 big master room with an attached small room that the kids slept in. We shared 1 toilet and 1 bathroom (it's very convenient to have the toilet and shower area separate). The suite is huge with gorgeous exposed wood beams. The decor is very soothing. The bathroom does feel a bit old but equipped with Sothys toiletries. Room insulation from outside noise is excellent. We are not morning people so we did not have breakfast. The hotel also gave out very nice gifts on our last night. It really was such a nice surprise!

Having said all that, I will point out the following:
1. When we arrived, 1 window would not open. Fixed the next day.
2. The first night we heard water sounds at around 2 3 am coming from a different building. Perhaps the neighbor was doing laundry? It was all quiet on the 2nd night.
3. It drove all of us bonkers that there was no plug next to the beds! We finally just unplugged the night light.
4. This location is perfect for Left Bank but still quite a hike if you want to go to the Right Bank all the time.

Come stay here if you appreciate quiet and classy accommodation with competent unobstrusive service.

Real and perfect Parisian experience

Centrally located next to the Musée d’Orsay. The location is absolutely perfect to wonder around and take amazing pictures.
The staff is extremely friendly and caring; they call you by your last name and make you feel at home.
Rooms are smalls (like a everywhere in Paris) but cute and very practicals.

I have stayed in hotels in the Far East, Middle East, South American and Europe - and none have been as wonderful at Hotel D- Orsay. The staff at the hotel went out their wa to make me comfortable - even when I got ill for a day or two, Housekeeping was the best I have ever experienced - it was like being taken care of by "mom". The room was comfortable and well decorated

The hotel was within walking distance of the Louvre, The Tuileries and usee D'Orsay.

I am 70 years young and love to travel - this has been a high point in my many years of traveling

Steeped in authentic Parisian charm!

Hotel d’Orsay offers a sophisticated stay near the d’Orsay museum in Paris. The hotel style is classical and has a refined decor.

The hotel is littered with lovely oil paintings at its lobby as well as the bedrooms. I especially love the balcony where I can see the Parisian streets. The hotel itself is situated at a quiet and peaceful corner, however not far from the museums and the River Seine.

The service was friendly and helpful throughout the hotel. Maps, and umbrellas were freely available especially, which was useful during the wet summer. I enjoyed the breakfast, with delightful selections of jam and cheese for my taking.

I very much love the hotel’s amenities, I love the bath products for the guests. They seem expensive, and of high quality. I would love to come and revisit Hotel d’Orsay in the near future.
