Charming hotel

This is a charming hotel with a pretty little courtyard very close to the Rodin Museum and within a few blocks of many cafes, shops, museums and metro stations. The rooms are very pretty, good sized, quiet, and have everything you need. The staff is wonderful. I have to give a special thank you to Oliver who worked the night shift. He was always such a pleasure to chat with as we came in at the end of the day and as we left early in the morning. He saved us from going to the wrong train station to get to Versailles. In fact, he printed out specific instructions to get us from the hotel to Versailles and back again that worked perfectly! He was so kind and sweet to our whole family (there were 6 of us). And on the morning we checked out, we had 5 minutes before the taxi arrived at 5am, and he rushed to make me my last delicious cafe au lait before we headed home. We love Oliver! I'd recommend and go back to this hotel just for him! Thanks Oliver for making our stay there extra special!

Lovely hotel, amazing staff

This hotel is located in a great area. It is quiet at night, but there are shops, cafes and a supermarket in less than a 2 minutes walk. The hotel is a beautifully restored/renovated building from the 1800’s, with a small elevator and air conditioning (both life savers!). It also has a beautiful little courtyard for breakfast, and drinks in the evening. But what really makes this hotel fantastic is it’s staff. They were polite, helpful, and always had time to give recommendations, and share their knowledge of the city. Olivier, the night host, printed metro directions for us, ordered taxis and gave us great advice for our time spent in the city, and our next destination. We will definitely stay here again!!

Stayed at Hotel de Varenne for 2 weeks in July. Location is on a quiet street close to a Metro and walking distance to Invalides and the Seine.
Hotel is well maintained, clean and well appointed.
Wonderful hospitality from everyone from the owner to the cleaning staff. Very helpful with travel details, restaurant reservations, recommendations, etc.
Many thanks for making our visit to Paris comfortable and pleasant.
Highly recommended.

Amazing hotel in the centre of Paris

Such a fantastic hotel. Before booking, I had searched the location of the hotel on google maps and knew it to be central to all the landmarks we wished to visit on our weeks holiday to celebrate our daughters 18th birthday.

Given both our daughter and son have autism, I wanted somewhere we could walk to the landmarks as travelling on the metro and bus would have been overwhelming to them.

I booked our holiday a year ago, only returned home from our week away today, and emailed the hotel a lot for further information in order to prepare our young adults. Their emails were always helpful and very considerate.

Once we arrived, they endeavoured to allow us to get into our room early, which they did not need to do. The room was blissfully cool with the aircon in the middle of the heatwave and a real sanctuary.

A special thanks goes to Stephan on the reception desk as he became quite the feature in our holiday and nothing to was to much to ask. When our catacombs trip was cancelled because of overbooking on the part of our tickets provider - he even emailed them on our behalf as our French is not very good. He was humorous and always great fun to speak to. I would also like to thank Olivier (sp?) at 3am this morning making us fresh coffee and chocolate chaud whilst we waiting for our transfer.

The staff making the breakfasts every day in the oppressive heat were always smiling and courteous and everyone was a credit to this hotel.

I cannot express enough how far the staff at this hotel really 'made' our Paris trip for us, with recommendations for lovely cafes to eat in that suited our limited budget and bars which were safe and great fun to visit.

I would like to add that the suite we had, was downstairs and very disabled friendly with a lovely jacuzzi bath as well as a walk in shower which would be wonderful for those with limited mobility.

Thank you Hotel De Varenne for such a wonderful time!

This hotel has it all. We had a wonderful stay at Hotel de Varenne. You are close to everything. 15 min. walk to Eiffel tower, trains and buses all nearby, nightlife moments away. Hotel de Varenne has absolutely everything you need and then some. Located in a residential district with quaint restaurants, bars and shopping all nearby. We can't say enough about the hotel and the staff A+.
