How to Get There
Excellent stay, the staff were really friendly, Room service was fabulous.
I would definitely come back.
The doorman Kenny was awesome.
And the front desks team : Osna, Karme and Hugo were really welcoming and make me feel like in a family.
Definitely the place to go in Paris!!!
As you may guess from the name, the Hotel Banke is located in a... former bank. The hotel is an easy walk to Galeries Lafayette, Palais Garnier, and the numerous bars and restaurants on Blvd Haussmann. Paris is one of the world’s most walkable cities, so with a comfortable pair of shoes, excursions to the Louvre, Sacre Coeur, Place Vendôme and Notre Dame are totally doable.
My room on the 2nd floor (206) occupied the apex of the triangular hotel, with a view up Rue Lafayette. A long entrance hall leads to a rounded sleeping/living area, with a large bathroom to the right. High ceilings and lots of windows, so the room gets plenty of natural light. The room included a stocked minibar and Nespresso coffee maker. Internet speeds were excellent. My only gripes: the room lacks a proper desk, the pillows were decidedly not comfortable, and oddly, no wash cloths are provided in the bathroom. Otherwise, the room was comfortable and stylish. During our stay, Paris was experiencing a heat wave, so the a/c system was definitely struggling (but mostly succeeding) to keep up.
Given the endless dining choices in Paris, I chose not to eat at the hotel. They do offer a morning breakfast buffet, and the hotel’s Josefin restaurant appeared to be popular with office workers in the neighborhood.
Hotel service was generally quite good. The twice per day housekeeping was particularly efficient and responsive. Staff were friendly and helpful. My impression is that this hotel is new to the Marriott family, and front desk staff are not really familiar yet with the Bonvoy program terms, e.g., late check-out for elites. Overall, the Hotel Banke is a great choice, with the added benefit of now being part of the Marriott Autograph family.
This hotel is in an absolutely beautiful old building, and the staff is extremely kind and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the Thursday night tour - our guide was knowledgeable and very charming! It was a delightful addition to our trip!
We truly enjoyed our stay so much! The location is EVERYTHING! So close to so many great things! The staff was outstanding, especially the doorman Rudy! He was extremely friendly and Helpful. Our room was spectacular! Bigger than most European hotel rooms. Granted, we are platinum members so that probably played a part in our amazing room. The breakfast is wonderful too!! We highly recommend!
Fantastic stay in room 610. Unfortunately the Wi-Fi was slow. But had great tips from the concierge ladies in regards to bars in the area. Our breakfast was delicious with amazing home made carrots cake and Madeleines
Would definitely recommend this to my friends and family
