How to Get There
Would highly recommend this hotel. We had 3 adults in the family room. Breakfast and servers were WONDERFUL!! Loved everything about our stay. Check In to check out was flawless!! Room was very clean and bathroom great size. Noteworthy- Water pressure = Outstanding
Professional, helpful and polite staff. Breakfast good but not outstanding. Superior room was excellent - nicely decorated with plenty of space. We would be happy to stay here again. Vavun station is nearer the action (Montparnasse in the evenings was buzzing), but Raspail metro is 50m from the hotel. Good walk down to Saint Michel through the Jardin Du Luxembourg and L'Odéon.
We travelled to Paris recently, with our 2 adult children. One thing that I found difficult when searching for accommodation in France, including Paris, is actually finding somewhere that can accommodate us all. Sure, plenty of apartments and hotels will accommodate 4 adults, but this is usually assumed to be 2 couples and usually with a sofa bed - not really appropriate for adult daughter and son. I did find a few places, but in the end, settled with the Hotel Aiglon. We stayed here for 2 weeks.
We could not have been happier with our choice. We were given an apartment suite with 2 bedrooms, the second with 2 single beds, and 2 bathrooms. The suite was tastefully decorated and well maintained - obviously a sign of somewhere that takes this business seriously. Additionally, it is very spacious, a bonus for Paris.
Each morning we were graced with a simple but delicious breakfast of juices, yogurt, pastries, charcuterie, bacon & eggs and coffee. We were given a warm welcome each morning.
The staff were attentive and friendly at all times. Cheerio to Loic, who greeted us on arrival and assisted me to print some tickets to an event we attended.
At first glance, it may be argued that the Aiglon is not centrally located in Paris. In actual fact, this is not a problem and one should not be deterred by this. The hotel is about a 20 minute (or less) stroll to St. Germain-des-Pres, St. Michel, Luxembourg Gardens etc, a 5 minute walk to the lively Vavin and Gaite areas of Montparnasse - both which offer plentiful cafes & restaurants and shopping (including a Galleries Lafayette). Entry to the Metro is literally across the road, on Line 4, which will take you to St Germain (up-market shopping, cafes), St Michel (Notre Dame, St Chappelle, Shakespeare & Co), Les Halles (shopping, Pompidou Centre) and Montmartre (Sacre Coeur) without changing lines, and Line 6, which will take you directly to the Eiffel Tower.
I would definitely recommend the Hotel Aiglon to anyone visiting Paris.
We stayed at this beautiful boutique hotel for 4nights with my children, 11 and 13 years old. A friend of us highly recommended it and we are very pleased that we followed her advice. It is a boutique hotel in the Montparnasse, 50 m from the metro station. Very spacious and clean room with a big window facing the street and two smaller ones on the bathroom. We all had shower and there were no humidity in the air. The room was just as shown on the hotel's website, even better. Really clean and soundproof with all the necessary facilities. The best part of our stay was definitely the breakfast. Excellent homemade pastries and jams, fresh juices and cheese, everything was delicious. All the staff were very polite and helpful. We will definitely stay again on our next visit to Paris. We recommend it, especially for families.
Lovely hotel, comfy bed with quality bedding. Tourist attractions within walking distance if you don’t mind walking,if not hotel is very close to train links. I didn’t eat at the hotel but breakfast looked good.
