How to Get There
Loved it. The breakfast was totally well managed, I had to miss a few breakfast because I had to leave early to catch trains, but I thoroughly enjoyed breakfast. It is definitely a fabulous botique hotel. The people at the front desk always used by name, you do not get that in a large hotel. The room was nice, but in Paris rooms tend to be smaller than most of us are used to. I had only two very minor issues. My laptop did not fit into the room safe, but it appeared that a larger safe could not be accomodated in the armoire and second, I like to use a towel for several days but did not find a hook or drying rack or something to drape my towel over so I could reuse it and save some resources. It is definitely a 5 star property. The elevator (the lift) was charming and it was really neat to ride in it. Here is the real question that defines any good review: Would I return? The answer is absolutely, and I would recommend the Golden Tulip to anyone visiting Paris. It is a great place.
I went to Paris with the family and booked three rooms. Prior to arriving I was in regular contact with the hotel with regards our stay and on every occasion they were very helpful. On arrival the same high level of customer service was received. Whilst they could not provide rooms next to each other as I had hoped they provided rooms that were highly convenient for us all. In terms of location for a two day Paris break I don't think this hotel could be bettered. The metro is a two minute walk but if you wanted to walk then many of the sights are within easy walking distance, as is the River Seine should you want to use the Batobus. This is such an amazing way to see the city and very user friendly. I would certainly recommend getting at least a day ticket as it stops at all the major tourist attractions and thus eases any travel worries you may have. There are plenty of places to eat in and around the area but I would strongly recommend Villa Dondelli. I would rate this Italian meal as one of the best I have ever had and it was also very reasonably priced. All in all I would throughly recommend the Golden Tulip Opera De Noailles for its standard of rooms. the location but most importantly the exceptional staff who work there.
Family operated hotel, comfortable, clean and well ran. Entire staff were wonderful from the moment we walked through their door. Everyone went out of their way to help us navigate this beautiful city. We liked this hotel because of service, location and how quite and comfortable it was to stay for a week. Justine one of the managers was always so helpful and we so appreciated her help and interest in making sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Breakfast was always very good and we appreciated the variety of food offered. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a wonderful stay in the heart of Paris.
