Be Careful When They Offer to Get You a Cab
Reviewed 7 days ago

The hotel is decent. We stayed there for approximately 3 weeks. Location is great and staff for the most part was nice. However, be aware that they will promise to get you a cab for a relatively inexpensive rate, but then when you actually get the taxi, the rate changes. The night shift receptionist promised us a certain fixed price for 5 people and luggage. When we entered the cab, the driver started the meter. When we informed him of the flat rate that had been promised to us, he stopped the meter and demanded a higher rate. We called the hotel and complained, but they didn't care and did not want to help. Uber would have been cheaper, so we felt deceived. We stood our ground and refused to pay the higher rate. Watch out for this kind of deception.

The good thing....excellent place. Nice are two steps from metro station .
Except of that...and taking into account that we talk for a 4 star hotel or so , staff with limited capabilities , expensive breakfast in comparison to the offered items. When something finishes no replacement. Honestly speaking whatever they offer is very good ....if you are lucky to find it....I have almost twenty years roving the world visiting all type of hotels 1,2,3,4,5 stars all over the world , at this hotel for 6 days i did not see ...housekeeping service....nothing , nobody tell us about that. It's funny for Paris and 4 star hotel.
Anyway it was an experience , that is my personal experience paid for 140 euros per night.
I share it with you and it is duly true.

well suited for our needs

The rooms are decent and have a fridge and dishes. It's a typical chain hotel with some charm in the lobby (fussball table, lounge, garden tables outside but too cold for us.) We arrived around 10:00 and left our luggage, no problem checking in after 15:00. Bercy Village is on the edge of the very touristy parts of Paris, but well connected by metro. It takes less than 5 minutes to walk to the station from the hotel and the line takes around 5-7 minutes to Chatelet station where you can easily transfer to almost any other metro line in Paris. There is a Carre Four grocery store within sight of the hotel so you can grab stuff to stock the room. It's not super convenient to get to CDG by public transport from here, which I had only done up until now on my other trips to Paris, but a taxi took us about 30 minutes and cost a flat rate of 50 euros.

Superb Hotel

When we first entered the hotel the electric was totally off. So no power to the lights or to the elevator. We were given the apartment on the eighth floor. Which meant walking up eight flights!
But we can forgive the lack of elevators for the superb room with all the amenities to make it feel like home.
Great location that is 3 minute walk to the metro station, via the Bercy village shopping center with all the shopping & eating establishments.
We were there for the concert at the arena, which was a 10 minute stroll along a street where no cars were allowed.
Also went into the Metro cash & carry that was 2 minutes from the hotel. So you can buy food at trade price, great selection.
There was also plenty of the shared electric scooters in the vicinity.
We enjoy the hotel for it’s room, the great location for the travel & shopping benefits but also it was very quiet as there is no busy road outside and it felt a safe area.
The hotel is opposite a five star hotel. So great to be sharing the same area.

Mostly good

Staying two nights. Good location in that near metro and pleasant area with small shops, nice park and big cinema round the corner.

Small room with big comfortable fold down bed - so not really a suite like some Adagios. But fine for two people. Clean. Has a small balcony.

Some niggles: one bedside light not working; kitchenette sink blocked ( you know the type - you run water into the sink and bits of foods float up out of the plughole into the sink); the room cards seem to have been cancelled after the first night so after returning from shopping had to queue in reception for ten minutes before getting them revalidated.

Annoyingly, having told the reception person in middle of day, about the light and sink issues, nothing had been done or apparently attempted when we got back 10 hours later. So poor service.
