How to Get There
The rooms are decent and have a fridge and dishes. It's a typical chain hotel with some charm in the lobby (fussball table, lounge, garden tables outside but too cold for us.) We arrived around 10:00 and left our luggage, no problem checking in after 15:00. Bercy Village is on the edge of the very touristy parts of Paris, but well connected by metro. It takes less than 5 minutes to walk to the station from the hotel and the line takes around 5-7 minutes to Chatelet station where you can easily transfer to almost any other metro line in Paris. There is a Carre Four grocery store within sight of the hotel so you can grab stuff to stock the room. It's not super convenient to get to CDG by public transport from here, which I had only done up until now on my other trips to Paris, but a taxi took us about 30 minutes and cost a flat rate of 50 euros.
When we first entered the hotel the electric was totally off. So no power to the lights or to the elevator. We were given the apartment on the eighth floor. Which meant walking up eight flights!
But we can forgive the lack of elevators for the superb room with all the amenities to make it feel like home.
Great location that is 3 minute walk to the metro station, via the Bercy village shopping center with all the shopping & eating establishments.
We were there for the concert at the arena, which was a 10 minute stroll along a street where no cars were allowed.
Also went into the Metro cash & carry that was 2 minutes from the hotel. So you can buy food at trade price, great selection.
There was also plenty of the shared electric scooters in the vicinity.
We enjoy the hotel for it’s room, the great location for the travel & shopping benefits but also it was very quiet as there is no busy road outside and it felt a safe area.
The hotel is opposite a five star hotel. So great to be sharing the same area.
Staying two nights. Good location in that near metro and pleasant area with small shops, nice park and big cinema round the corner.
Small room with big comfortable fold down bed - so not really a suite like some Adagios. But fine for two people. Clean. Has a small balcony.
Some niggles: one bedside light not working; kitchenette sink blocked ( you know the type - you run water into the sink and bits of foods float up out of the plughole into the sink); the room cards seem to have been cancelled after the first night so after returning from shopping had to queue in reception for ten minutes before getting them revalidated.
Annoyingly, having told the reception person in middle of day, about the light and sink issues, nothing had been done or apparently attempted when we got back 10 hours later. So poor service.
The hotel is very well located for work nearby. It is convenient. The tiny studio was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The internet service, wifi, however was often slow and unreliable. The connection kept shutting down then I would have to start it again. It was painfully slow at times. The staff is polite. But only one person at the desk at checkin or checkout time makes for long waits. Also even if checkin time is 3 pm it would be good service, if the room is ready, to let people in before 3 pm. When I checked in it seemed none of the rooms was ready until 3 pm. The result was numerous people waiting to check in and two rooms full of their luggage, plus more in the lobby. At 3 pm sharp, checkin began. It took forever. People are tired after long flights from North America, Africa or Asia. So even though checkin is 3 pm, if the rooms are ready, please let people in them. They will appreciate it.
Just spent 17 nights at Adagio Bercy, which I believe is my longest continuous stay at any hotel ever and only my second time in an aparthotel, I could easily have stayed longer.
As pointed out by others, the property is clean, modern, convenient with a Carrefour market, a FNAC store, restaurants and a couple excellent boulangeries around the corner. The public parking next to the hotel can (and should) be booked online at reasonable rates.
We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment which felt spacious, was equipped with everything we needed including a double bed, a sofa, a table that could easily seat 4 and possibly 6, a dishwasher, the room was quiet, fresh, had a balcony and most of all was very well designed. We did not use, but appreciated, the ability to borrow additional items from the front desk, the coffee machine available round-the clock at the ground floor. The gym was well equipped for our needs and the pay per use washer and dryer next to it were convenient.
Special thanks to Ms. Emmanuelle P, who will surely read this, and her team for their personal attention throughout our stay (and for finding us a room on a sold-out night!). Several staff members including maintenance and the lady who keeps the public area clean came to say goodbye, which was great, the front desk staff was always very friendly, though a bit overwhelmed around 3PM when everybody comes to check in.
Overall highly recommended to anyone looking for a studio or apartment for a long stay rather than a full service hotel. Will certainly return.
