Overview

Glamorous Left Bank boutique property with sleek décor and a secret rooftop garden

The Lowdown

Set between the Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides, this fetching boutique hideaway blends a blue-chip Paris address with bohemian charm. Rooms are the antithesis of fussy or traditional: expect graphic black and white décor with the occasional splash of color in a vintage-inspired lamp or vibrant feature wall, plus thoughtful touches like fresh-cut flowers. The funky rooftop terrace–complete with grass, tropical plantings, and lounge chairs in bright pops of color–is another highlight.

In the Area

As the name suggests, the City of Light’s most celebrated icon is within strolling distance: raise a glass to romance at the Eiffel Tower’s top-floor Champagne Bar (open every day until 10 p.m..) Also at hand: Napoleon’s tomb at Les Invalides, some of the world’s greatest artworks at Le Louvre, the Beaux-Arts Musée d’Orsay, which houses a vast array of Impressionist works, and rue Cler, with its wonderful traditional markets and patisseries.

Small and a bit unorganized
thomasbohne

The rooms are very small and fully covered with carpets and curtains. It’s hard to move. The cleanliness is okay, I was happy to be able to open a window to get some fresh air in. At night it’s quite calm outside.

I am not happy with the service. It took me three attempts to get the bill printed with the right data. It’s a hassle to get the right tea or the right food for breakfast. It’s just small things but it’s just annoying if you ask for another piece of baguette and the waiter looks at you as if just transformed into a cat.

Good location

Welcoming hotel with a good location all sites were in walking distance, room a bit out there with odd decor, very good shower but a odd smell occasionally but nothing too untoward. Would happily go back.
