How to Get There
I always love the iconic Shangri-La service. No matter where I travel, I will always stay in the Shangri-La hotel as long as it’s available. The last stay in the Shangri-La, Wuhan, was amazing. And special thanks to the service center staff. They were very professional and helpful when I called for in room service and information about the city transportation. All my questions and requests were answered and fulfilled. Thank you again for giving me such an awesome experience!
Although the hotel is a little old, it still has the old elegant “Shangri-La Charm” which is consistent in every Shangri-La.
The breakfast buffet is amazing and the staff were super friendly, polite and accommodating.
Ashley Zhang at the front desk who helped me with my check out was very informative and efficient. She provided lots of useful information on using the subway system and how to get to the airport.
Here are some plus points about the hotel:
- Carrefour Supermarket is less then 10 minutes walk from the hotel
- Bank that accept international ATM cards is located just across the street
- There’s a Subway station that connects you to 3 lines just 3 minutes walk away
- There is also a 24 hour convenient store just outside the lobby entrance where you can buy your basic items.
It was an overnight stay. The room temperature was easy to adjust to the level of comfort and we have a good night sleep. The room design has many good touch points, may not find in other China hotels. The room was spacious, the toilet not too small, the wardrobe could hang many, etc. The service standard met expectation as a Shangri-La brand. Breakfast with mainly Wuhan dishes, came with a mix of western varieties with live stations. After travelling for days without good coffee, their's tasted nice. Will come back to stay if I visit Wuhan again.
Hotel staff were friendly and spoke good English (good for me as a non-Chinese speaking traveller). The room I had was a bit dated and could do with refurbishment (I'm sure there are nicer rooms than what I booked though). I arranged a massage through the hotel spa which was nice - the lady did a good job on my shoulders and neck. The breakfast had a good selection and the room was clean.
The front desk staff are very helpful and kind. They greeted me very warmly upon check in. They helped me with the airport transportation as well. Thank you all for giving me the iconic Shangri-La services
