How to Get There
It is not difficult to understand that the Radisson Blu Hotel Frankfuert is aiming at the business traveler. It is situated at Frankfurt West so you either need your own car to get to the hotel or use the S-train. Arriving at the Frankfurt West station, go opposite from the "city centre" and turn to the right. The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from the station.
I am a Radisson Rewards Platinum member so the fact that the hotel did not recognize this, although I presented my membership card at check in, colors my impression of the hotel.
From the outside the hotel looks impressive and it gives you a lot of space. We had a nice room on the 16th floor overlooking Frankfurt, a nice bathroom and a nice bed.
The breakfast is very "normal". I would expect more from a Radisson Blu Hotel. A rather dull breakfast.
Not a great location. Reception pretty unfriendly and slow. Room fine, but pillows could have been better. Bar staff friendly but food was terrible and had to send back - chef came out to say that he couldn't do better as the kitchen is too small!
Returned 2 days later as had already booked return visit. Same issues at reception and no water in the room and empty minibar. Needs much more attention to detail.
As a cabin crew, I get to stay at various hotels all over the world. Therefore, I easily spot the difference between bad, good and excellent service. Radisson Blu in Frankfurt has always been my number one, an example of exceptional service and good quality. All the staff is super friendly, dedicated to what they do and ready to help in case you have any issues. As Russian language is my mother tongue, was happy to see a receptionist that speaks Russian as well. Both room service and hotel breakfasts offer delicious food (your fish and omelettes are our crew favourite!). A rich variety of wine and other drinks is available at their bar (I especially like your cappuccino). Rooms are always clean and tidy. Beds are super comfortable to sleep in, which is important when you come to the hotel after a long tiring flight. I believe small details matter: Radisson Blu always has welcome drinks like sparkling water and delicious tea available at their lobby. Would like to say a big thank you to all the Radisson Blu staff including a reception manager Laura and Mirsad (these guys are always sweet, hospitable and very service-oriented!) for my comfortable and joyful stay!
