How to Get There
Good hotell to stay in if you plan to visit ESB. Its pretty close to the Main river and the walkways along it if you like running. Brekfast is good and you can order your own omelette without extra cost.
We stayed here for the Wienachtsmarkt. It is within 15 minutes easy walk of the main square. The hotel is modern, clean and comfortable. Our room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. We had read reviews if the bathroom before we booked and as we had stayed in other hotels with glass walked en suites we weren't bothered. Actually, this one had an opqaue curtain that pulled right across so anyone who wants privacy can have it. We found that the room wasn't well stocked with tea or milk and had to ask for this regularly. The restaurant is comparatively prices to those in the city and serves simple 'pub' style food. It is tasty and we'll prepared. Breakfast was plentiful with an excellent choice and the various food bars were kept stocked up. There were free German papers and the English FT. Staff were very friendly and helpful and even though we arrived from an early flight our room was ready. The hotel was very busy.
If you have accommodations in the city of Frankfurt, then should go for the meal, but spacial for dinner.because the atmosphere very romantic can see the towel view and the city in the night. The food and services perfect.
There is not too much to say except this is not what I expected. This hotel claims to be 5 stars ...definately not!!! small room, inconvenient shower. House keeping very poor, I truly donot want to give details.
Front desk not helpful except for oneperson. Im still trying to see what has been charged since they have charged twice. Also they have overcharged the room rate.
To be honest, if one is planning a business conference, this is a good hotel. The complete sixth floor if fitted with conference rooms. If one is traveling for leisure, the case is the opposite. It is NOT located close to the "old Town" It is a 20 minute walk. The river and a parkway are close, but that is not seeing the town or the museums. We ere there specially for the Christmas Market and in the weather it was not a fun time.
So let me tell you about the room. It was not really clean, a few spots on the floor, in the WC there were stains on the wall as if someone had placed a foot on the wall, BUT the worse item was the Shower. It is a Glass enclosed Shower in the MIDDLE of the room. If a couple is there neither can use the Shower, or sink without really disturbing the other person. PLUS a King size bed with Two Twin size duvet covers. NOT ONE KING but two small twin, When I asked the desk they told me they had NO large Duvets.
Will never stay here again. Only two members of the desk staff very nice.
The Breakfast is very good, I will say that and the ladies working in that room were a real pleasure, very friendly
