Worst food in all of France
Reviewed 3 weeks ago

I have to say I love this hotel. I love the rooms. I love the people who work in the hotel. We had a perfect room. We had an upgrade. I love the hotel. Do not eat here! My risotto was cold. My husbands veal was overcooked. My pasta had 4 noodles in it. It is over priced and bland. The worst food in all of France. So sad as I love this Hotel! They also insulted me when I asked what kind of sauce was in the lobster pasta. They said American. Ketchup and mayo. I said I never eat any of those. My husband is fluent and did his wine making degree in France. The service was horrid. Stay at the hotel but eat some where else. They didn’t even care when we said our food was cold or bland!

All to perfection

We have ended up in the hotel by a sheer coincident as we have booked a room in a Hotel in Montpellier to realize that we can't park our car in any proximity to offload our massive volume of luggage.
We arrived at Domain de Verchant late at night, to receive the most welcoming treat one can expect after being on the road for 10 hours.
The team was so helpful, dealt immediately with all the massive amount of luggage, took us to a stunning room and made sure that we will get any food and drinks that will make feeling very welcomed.
We had a great night sleep waking up at a place that is truly hard to describe. This is a gem that you need some time to enjoy as the SPA and sports facilities are massive, modern and very well equipped, overlooking the vineyards. The infinity pool is massive and very well positioned.
The team is extremely helpful at all times while the Breakfast was a treat.
We will be back to enjoy the hotel and its facilities.

This was our second time on this beautiful wine hotel in the south of France. The hotel remains very beautiful and clean. Very nice atmosphere, need to improve the attention of the people that work on the breakfast room, they need to be more friendly. On the spa they need to improve the therapists and the type of treatments.
Enjoy the lovely wine ..

We were wowed by this property.

Given the reviews we knew the property was in an odd location as you drive through industrial area to get there but once you turn into the drive you forget that.

It really is an oasis as others have mentioned. We enjoyed the pool each afternoon, free ice creams were a nice touch and the tapas style food by the pool was delicious... amazing dumplings. We enjoyed the degustation menu at Restaurant Verchant... faultless and impeccable service. Breakfast was not included but we splurged one morning... it was also lovely.

Only negative is wifi signal is variable... we also had a step up into the bathroom area which we thought could be a trip hazard but overall we loved this property.

We highly recommend it.

This is a young team running this gorgeous hotel and they are doing a great job, they were all very friendly and helpful. The gardens are just heavenly, particularly around the smaller outdoor pool close to the main hotel building. I agree that it felt like we were approaching the hotel through an industrial park but that didn’t matter, as soon as we arrived we felt cocooned in our beautiful vineyard oasis. We stayed on a gourmet-break basis and, although we usually try the tasting menu where we stay, we found both of the “surprise” meals in the gourmet restaurant to be flavoursome and of we believe Michelin star quality ( we will try the tasting menu next time). Breakfast on the terrace of our room was lovely and the service throughout was impeccable. We enjoyed the spa and pool area and had an enjoyable lunch and cocktails at the Plage dans Les Vignes restaurant. Our little dog Annie was made very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed the grounds and her treatment by the staff. The only things we could find worthy of any criticism were the lack of storage drawers in our terrace suite and, as others have reported, the weak wi-fi signal. We look forward to staying at the Domaine again.
