How to Get There
This fabulous resort with many amenities on property, has many more within walking distance. Great beach, beautiful pool! The resort is located in close proximity to both Lahaina and Kapalua. We’ve enjoyed coming here every year for 1-3 weeks since 2008.
We upgraded to the presidential suite so our experience was exceptional from a room perspective. Top floor, corner two bedroom suite with full kitchen and dining room. It was perfect for our home base for a big family. We had two rooms with 6 people.
Food at resort was just meh. The service was great as was our room. If looking for a place to crash each night while doing island activities during the day, this is certainly a great choice.
We have owned here since 2001 and love being here twice a year. It is the only place we go - we have no need for Diamond Resorts. Our home resort staff is phenomenal and, when we get the room we request, we love every second of being here. We originally purchased because it was Embassy Suites (good brand) and they only had three resorts. When Diamond bought them, introduced hundreds of properties, life got more complicated. We get around that by planning a year in advance and hoping life makes it all work out well. Daily walk from here to Whaler's Village and back is about 6 miles and cross-cancels the eating and drinking! Beautiful location, wonderful staff.
This is our home away from home for too short a period of time.... this place, it's of a piece of heaven on Earth...the people here are always out standing.... They always cater to our needs. the exciting part is they are constantly upgrading facilities... that's a rarity...
We were pleasantly surprised it’s our stay, given some horrible reviews. The hotel itself is really cute, and our room blew us away. We truly felt like we were in a resort, way better than we were expecting. Loved our room so much, bed was so comfortable.
The pool was huge, way nicer than a lot we saw at different resorts around us. Hot tub was a nice size. Everything was really clean. Hotel offered ping pong tables, bowling, movie rentals. The convince store was well stocked with anything you might need. Close to a supermarket that is ok. Not really close to any good restaurants other than decent hotel restaurants.
Ohana grill is ok, the bar is ok. Nothing special.
It is disappointing there is no beach in front of the hotel. That definitely detracts from my desire to stay here again.
Nice whale watching from our ocean view lanai, which actually was “ocean view”.
Re: time share harassment- we didn’t find such happening. After when checked in and got settled, we made our way down to the concierge for our “welcome bag” with coupons. Decent amount of coupons, for like appies or desserts. The guy we chatted with was really friendly, not like the greasy slime balls we saw walking around with people taking the timeshare tour. They offered us $150 in gift certificates for restaurants if we signed up to take the time share presentation, but honestly our time on holiday is worth was more than $150. He said it was about 2 hours, but we saw a pamphlet that highlighted it would be a “4 hr window” no thank you. We politely said no and we never were bothered again which was a pleasant surprise. The visit with the concierge was probably 25 mins total.
Overall, had a great stay. Friendly and great service throughout the hotel.
