How to Get There
We've been coming here for 15 years and it is considered "home". Staff treats us like ohana. This is our home purchase, we have the Hawaiian trust. Switched over years ago. We come every November and will continue to. We love maui and its people.
Our room had a view of a strip mall, and a couple food trucks. The construction noise was so loud we couldn't hear the tv or talk on the phone. We had cockroaches the first night. They transferred us to another room for the 4th night. It had a partial ocean view, still had cockroaches, and they left someone else's dirty underwear on the kitchen table. They must have found them somewhere under the bed or something in the old room. Our things were all packed up nicely for the move. Nobody bothered to follow up. We told the front desk we still had the bug problem, never got a response.
our room smelled very musty. It took 3 days to get us a different room. We had to sleep in that unhealthy air for 3 nights. The housekeeping managers both agreed that it smelled bad, so why did it take so long? Moving to another room meant checking out at 10am and not being able to check into new room until 3 pm because they wanted to clean our old room and put another guest in! No one bothered to follow up with us to make sure everything was ok. No compensation was offered for our inconvenience and to make up for the fact that we spent half of our week in that stinky room, plus another day without a room! Not good customer service!!!!!!
