The Lowdown

Say the name Chamonix and any skier or snowboarder worth their salt will tell you that this is a legendary resort, but there’s more to this place than the white stuff. With breathtaking vistas, a dizzying array of adrenaline-charged activities and rugged mountains coated in lush greenery, this magical mountain location is equally alluring throughout the rest of the year too.
RockyPop Hotel is the newest addition to Chamonix’s hospitality scene, and ups the ante on laid-back leisure with its stunning views and fun-filled attitude to your alpine stay away. Unwind after a day of hiking with your choice of the cuisines on offer from the restaurant’s three food-court-style counters, before finding yourself in the midst of a table-football tournament, or sipping a beer over a live band in the bar. Guest rooms here are charismatic and cosy, with pops of red, postcards on the walls and plenty of amenities to create a real home from home to suit everyone.

This is a great hotel!

We stayed at the RPH late Jan 2019 4 dads and 4 lads in 4 rooms. From the first contact with the hotel everything was well done with a very good standard of service. Rooms are typically small but more than good enough. Food was good and a lively bar most nights. We used the ski shop under the hotel great, good value service. We also bought our lift tickets at the hotel. Didn’t use the shuttle but bus stops right outside. If coming back to Chamonix Valley would definitely stay here. Very good value for money and as such worth 5 stars!

I was realy surprised when I first saw the arcade themed interior in contrast of surrounding nature and mountains. You will have a chance to play and remember the games, if you know what I'm talking about.

Faultless, fun ski hotel

One of the best, most fun hotels I’ve ever had the pleasure to stay in. Superb, ell-designed and comfortable rooms, first-class breakfast and an excellent restaurant, plentiful and spacious common areas, a great bar and a free shuttle bus. If you’re happy to stay slightly outside the heart of Chamonix, you cannot do better than this place.

We stayed here for few nights during our ski trip to Les Houches. Nice room with beds for four, good service and breakfast, nice cosy bar, free Coffee tea and water etc. Bus to the slopes is short but gets a little crowded (only miinus). Food is good at the restaurant. Free parking. Everything is New and well thought. Big recommendation.

Long weekend in Les Houches

Great place for a short stay with lots of things to keep children occupied when not skiing. Plentiful breakfast and fab pizzas in the restaurant which opens at 6pm. Rooms are compact with clever storage but you would be forgiven for wanting to wear your ski helmet in the rooms as the ceilings are very low to accommodate the bed space. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the all day access to tea and coffee is very welcome (although some snack options would be a great addition). There is also access to an ongoing supply of bottled water which is free to residents and whilst welcome, I would think that there is a more environmentally aware approach to offering water. Rooms are cleaned every day regardless of the time of day which again is welcome - but it isn’t necessary to change the towels every day. A simple policy of leaving towels on the floor if they needed changing would again surely be a more environmentally friendly approach (no matter where I left the towels they were changed)!
Overall The Rocky Pop did everything it said on the ‘tin’ and was perfect for our short break.
