The Lowdown

Say the name Chamonix and any skier or snowboarder worth their salt will tell you that this is a legendary resort, but there’s more to this place than the white stuff. With breathtaking vistas, a dizzying array of adrenaline-charged activities and rugged mountains coated in lush greenery, this magical mountain location is equally alluring throughout the rest of the year too.
RockyPop Hotel is the newest addition to Chamonix’s hospitality scene, and ups the ante on laid-back leisure with its stunning views and fun-filled attitude to your alpine stay away. Unwind after a day of hiking with your choice of the cuisines on offer from the restaurant’s three food-court-style counters, before finding yourself in the midst of a table-football tournament, or sipping a beer over a live band in the bar. Guest rooms here are charismatic and cosy, with pops of red, postcards on the walls and plenty of amenities to create a real home from home to suit everyone.

For everyone who appreciate delicious food, quiet and pleasant mood. The service is nice and helpful. Live music is organized in the evenings.
The public transport for centre of Chamonix is for free for guests of the hotel. It is only 10 minutes from Chamonix bus station.
This hotel is good for family with children and for friends.
They have a delicious Alps beer :)

Fun and functional

The hotel seems to be very popular with skiers because it was fully but it was in late April. Decor fun. As my daughter said as if Sheldon (Bing bang Theory) has decorated the room. For me it was the Ikea warning but in a positive way. The breakfast is enjoyed in a different environment with snow-capped mountains around it. Clean and tidy. Highly recommended.

A great and fun place to stay,
I liked it very much!
The personnel is very attentive and easy going.
The restaurant offers great food - I recommend trying the burgers.
Breakfast was plenty.
The rooms offered more than what I had ever expected and there is tons of little things to discover throughout the hotel.
The bonus are the 3 EV charging stalls.

Fun family trip.

Spotted this hotel on a website and was drawn to it by it's funkiness and quirkiness which I thought our 7 year olds would love. As it happened, we all loved it and important to remember that behind the fun nature of it, this is obviously a very well run and managed hotel. Friendly staff all round, attention to detail throughout, safe for the kids, wonderful breakfasts in a restaurant with sunken seats, beautiful location and scenery. The room was spotlessly clean on arrival and housekeeping standards were top notch - we knew the nature of our mezzanine room prior to arrival but head height was challenging for me, and I'm not the tallest so anyone beyond 6' tall should be aware of this. I really don't know who ever came up with the idea of having black corridors with black ceilings but it actually worked and added to the quirkiness of it all. Not normally one to suggest a repeat visit anywhere, but if ever our travels take us back to this region, we will certainly look forward to staying at the first class Rocky Pop. If there is one comment, constructive rather than a complaint, was for those staying for up to a week, as we did, the restaurant menu on offer in the evenings could have had a bit more variety, even in providing the option of a daily special. For that reason alone, I've rated the hotel 4/5, and I nearly feel guilty in not giving it 5/5!! Well done to the all the management and staff, with the complimentary sunglasses on our second last morning being a great touch.
