Say the name Chamonix and any skier or snowboarder worth their salt will tell you that this is a legendary resort, but there’s more to this place than the white stuff. With breathtaking vistas, a dizzying array of adrenaline-charged activities and rugged mountains coated in lush greenery, this magical mountain location is equally alluring throughout the rest of the year too.
RockyPop Hotel is the newest addition to Chamonix’s hospitality scene, and ups the ante on laid-back leisure with its stunning views and fun-filled attitude to your alpine stay away. Unwind after a day of hiking with your choice of the cuisines on offer from the restaurant’s three food-court-style counters, before finding yourself in the midst of a table-football tournament, or sipping a beer over a live band in the bar. Guest rooms here are charismatic and cosy, with pops of red, postcards on the walls and plenty of amenities to create a real home from home to suit everyone.
How to Get There
If you're looking for a great value a bit outside major tourist areas, this is perfect. We were very pleased with our stay here. The themes were unique and took us back to our childhood. Breakfast was nice, and the staff treated us very well. I would definitely stay here again when I'm in the area.
The hotel itself was first class .food service staff were àll brilliant rooms very clean i stayed for one night the only downfall they don't accept dogs what a shame keep up the good work .The bar is lovely food I had smoke salmon then duck cheese selection and bottle of wine all was first class.
Stayed here with my daughter and two grandsons 8 and 10. The boys loved the ambience, breakfasts, their 4 person room etc. My wife and I liked the food (simople but good) cleanliness, polite staff etc.
The breakfast room has great views as do the outside seating areas.
Weekend evenings there were lots of young people drinking cocktails and live music.
Had a great one night stay touring France in our motorbikes, the decor all through the hotel was amazing, very quirky, we had food and drinks in the hotel in the evening and even though they were on the expensive side were well worth it. The bedroom and shower were very comfortable, lovely views of Mont Blanc and the surrounding mountains. All the staff were courteous and welcoming.
Stayed here with a couple of friends this weekend, and loved it. So much so, that I would love to take the family back, as I think the kids would love it.
It's all done very well indeed, from the bar, to the restaurant, to the rooms. Has fantastic views of the mountains. Easy (free) shuttle service into Chamonix, so you really don't need to be in Chamonix to enjoy it.
Would thoroughly recommend to anyone who may be considering it.
