How to Get There
Being a Platinium Card Accore, I was really excited to stay in this hotel but it was a disaster. How they can have a 5* Luxe?.. I don't know, they must pay to have it.
To start, no check-in online by email.
First when we arrived with a limousine, the entrance was blocked for a delivery and even the doorman saw us with our suitcases, he didn't move or try to let us go.
We booked a Suite and when we arrived at 12h00, it wasn't ready. Fair enough, we went for a lunch and the receptionist told us to come back around 14h30. We did for 15h00 and guess, the room wasn't ready again!
The Suite was very strange and not practical at all(231) so just avoid it.
Very small wardrobe, electrical cables visibles, big cobweb above the bed(we had to call housekeeping to remove it) curtains with a big hole in, walking shower flooding everywhere, no doors and big glass window between bathroom and bedroom so if you go to the toilet in the night, all the bedroom is bright, twice no turn down services and when I complain, they told me that I probably left the panel Do Not Disturb on the door(I am not that senile yet... and the welcome box of chocolats from the manager was stupid ... 3 smalls biscuits!
Pillows are not of M'Gallery standard and very softs.
Bathroom had a very small hairdryer.
Concerning the hotel, bar service could be better, snack food arrived too cold and was ready meal(Salmon lasagna).
Breakfast was in the library lounge and seats are very low, I mean they are lounge club seats. Not very confortable and very small room especially when they had a conference.
Lady at the reception thought I wasn't right, but honestly if she had work in a 5* Luxe hotel before, she would call the manager for me.
Dust everywhere in the hotel, they must cut down the staffs.
Position of the hotel was good.
Wifi wasn't working properly everywhere.
Reply to a survey and still no reply from the manager.
Anyway, really bad experience for me, it make Dubai or Capital cheap compare to it and what you get!
Definitely won't stay here again and won't recommended it!
I loved this quirky hotel with its halved bowler hat sconces and charming Alice in Wonderland courtyard. Our room felt like a luxury garret with views of the roof tops and river and featured a huge circular tub complete with pillowed lounging area and tiny LED lights.(There was also a separate shower.) Breakfast was served in cool leather sofa-filled space. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect for navigating the city. Toulouse is beautiful - the pink brick, the bleu pastel, the amazing river and canals. We were welcomed everywhere we went by people so proud that we had come to see their city and my very limited French was never an issue. We didn't have time to make use of their spa but I very much appreciated the lovely steam room after 3+ hours in a car!
Brilliant decorations, lovely atmothere in the vecinity of the Garonne river, top top servicies- the quality of service of MGallery Collection.
The breakfast is very tasty. The rooms are large and very beautiful.
The Spa is a place of charm and relax after a hard day work.
Don’t hesitate to book this hotel in your both leisure or budiness trip. You will not be desapointed.
Within walking distance of all the sites, we loved this hotel. From friendly staff, a tour of the hotel upon arrival, help with places to go and things to do, to the large, spacious room this hotel ticked all the boxes. No faults whatsoever. When we come back to Toulouse, which we certainly will, we will be staying here.
We were here for our wedding anniversary and the friendly staff organised some lovely flowers to be left in our room.
We loved the location and found the staff to be helpful and friendly. Le Cenacles was lovely and a meal to remember.
However our room whilst decorated nicely had a number of flaws:
1.The shower/bath is almost thigh height off the floor and I am 165cm tall...whoever designed this is crazy...getting in and out was a challenge and a slip hazard
2. The shower leaked and we had to ask for someone to go and change the towels as we had to mop up the floor with them; after that we were very careful
3. Rooms are not sound proof if facing the street..there was a lot of noise and you could hear clearly what people were saying late into the night...there are pubs nearby...double glazing is needed
4. Wifi strength inconsistent
5. Bed was ok but not Sofitel standard...the underlay was clearly a size smaller than the bed
We also had an issue with breakfast which our booking through Expedia said was included. At check in they checked and said no it is not included even though it was clearly stated on my advice. This is odd as I have booked over 50 hotels with Expedia and never had an issue. I wrote to Expedia who I have to say deserve full marks for their response. Less than 48hours after writing they confirmed the room I booked was meant to have breakfast but the hotel had also told them no. Expedia refunded the full cost of breakfast without me asking..10/10 to Expedia for resolving this so promptly. But clearly there is an issue with the hotel and getting info right for Expedia which shouldn’t be so difficult.
