About a 90-minute drive from New Delhi, this restful retreat is a popular weekend escape thanks to its stellar amenities and proximity to Damdama Lake for boating and adventure sports. Set on 20 leafy acres, the hotel features bold, contemporary artwork, midcentury-style furniture and gigantic floor-to-ceiling windows. The 78 rooms and suites are done in a soothing green and taupe color scheme, with polished woods and black lacquered furniture, and all feature generous private decks or balconies. The contemporary bathrooms come with egg-shaped washbasins, gray slate walls and glass cubicle rain showers. Enjoy sweeping garden views and an international menu at Buzz, or dine on modern Chinese fare in Sian’s intimate, softly lit dining room. Try a relaxing ayurvedic massage at the state-of-the-art spa or relax with a glass of bubbly at the space age cocktail lounge, Swirl.
In the Area
Damdama Lake is a playground for Delhi’s jet set. Weekenders chase adrenaline highs with adventure sports like parasailing, bungee jumping and hot air ballooning; or you can simply bask in the sun on the lake’s grassy banks. For a health boost, ask your concierge about planning a trip to the natural hot springs in the nearby town of Sohna. The sulphurous waters are said to have mystical and medicinal qualities, especially during a solar or lunar eclipse. There are loads of shopping options nearby, too; for high-quality saris, carpets and baskets, make a beeline for Surajkund Crafts Mela. Some of the region’s finest craftsmen come here to sell their wares.
How to Get There
The staff of the hotel especially Anuj Thakur from the house keeping was exceptionally nice in sorting things out for me.
Abhinender again from the house keeping as the room attendant was all up and about to help and extend his amazing persona to me.
The staff at time of the breakfast Ishwar Singh and Vikas Raina were very warm in sending my breakfast in my room as an exception as I was a single parent and my adolescent children were panicky in the restaurant. They arranged the food and candies to make us very comfortable.
At the pool Mr. Sunil again has a sweet personality to extend his services.
In all its a great stay so far.
It's a beautiful property just on the outskirts of Gurgaon. As usual Taj hospitality is amazing. Their oriental restaurant Sian has some amazing dishes. Loved their schezwan prawns and chilli garlic noodles.
Our server Sumit was extremely polite and accommodating specially with our kids.
We hosted a wedding anniversary event. One word that would describe the event 'Flawless". Amazing property, delicious food, hospitality that has no parallel. A special note of thanks to the GM Mr. Paramveer Singh under whose leadership the staff is motivated to deliver such amazing comfort levels to the guests. Thanks to Ayesha Khan at the Front office. She took care of all out logistics in a very professional manner. Thanks to Vipul and Aashish at the Banquet who went out of the way to ensure that Taj has a repeat customer.
Staff was courteous. The resort has a lot of greenery and open area. Pool is nice. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. There are a few adventure activities available at the resort (cost is extra for them). There’s also a play area for kids. But it’s overpriced and that’s why a rating of 4 (and not 5).
Wonderful experience. Would recommend this hotel to my friends as well. Hotel operations are very smooth. Worth visiting the property once. Special thanks to front office , housekeeping and service team for making my birthday a memorable one.
