Swank urban retreat in downtown Gurgaon with three restaurants and a lively bar scene

The Lowdown

In the heart of Gurgaon’s financial district, this luxe high-rise is a modern masterpiece in marble and glass. The 208 guestrooms and suites are suitably swank, with rich oak flooring, recessed lights and a cozy, urban vibe. Suites come with free access to the Executive Lounge for all-day drinks and snacks. Glass paneling separates the bedrooms from the bathrooms, all of which have rain showers and 40-inch plasma TVs. For added comfort and a good deal more space, book a Premium Temptation Suite (688 square feet); these feature extras like Jacuzzi tubs, walk-in closets and a separate living room. Choose from Mediterranean fare at Latitude, Thai cuisine at Thai Pavilion or pan-Asian delicacies at Alfresco. Try a “Jagr” treatment at the state-of-the-art Jiva Spa, a jetlag remedy designed for corporate high-fliers. In the evening, chill with one of the resident mixologist’s colorful creations at the hip, low-lit bar Tease, where the signature cocktails include Gurgaonpolitan and Back to the Future.

In the Area

The staff at Vivanta by Taj Gurgaon is happy to help organize sightseeing tours in and around this fascinating and fast-growing metropolis. A short drive from the hotel is the Indian entertainment hub Kingdom of Dreams. This huge modern theater hosts the long-running musical Zangoora, an all-singing, all-dancing Bollywood production with a host of bright lights and special effects. If musicals aren’t your thing, don’t despair: The MG Road shopping malls are 10 minutes away and there are tons of restaurants to try at the nearby Cyber Hub. The nearest golf club is four miles away.

Perfect business hotel
Reviewed 1 day ago

On my first stay they upgraded me to a club room and the room was huge and had almost everything u need. the service was exceptional and so was the breakfast. Even though I checked in late at night and had some ironing for my clothes to be done for a early morning meeting they got it done , all with a smile 👍 would surely be staying there again

Nice, big and clean

From the moment you enter, you feel how spacious the hotel is. Hiiiiigh ceilings in the lobby, very welcoming staff. I love how the room numbers are on the floor. The rooms are nice, pretty and spacious too. Nice modern bathrooms. Love the buffet... great spread. Had a comfortable nights sleep. The pool looked pretty from above, unfortunately had no time to use it. Perfect place to stay for work or a quick business trip in Gurgaon.

Efficient business hotel but noisy on Saturday nights

Very good location. Good rooms & excellent service from staff. Food was of top standard as well - both the excellent buffet breakfast as well as the evening offer. The local food at breakfast was particularly tasty & staff were pleased to explain what various traditional Indian dishes were. At breakfast there were outstanding chickpea and lentil dishes. Overall staff were very attentive and helpful. One morning I had a relatively early swim in the pool (I was the only guest at the pool at that time), and afterwards, to my surprise (and completely un-requested) a complimentary lime soda & ice was brought to me at the poolside. I would broadly recommend this hotel for a business stay during the week but the problem stopping me giving it a 5 star rating was the Saturday night disco/very loud bar music. This was clearly audible until very late & stopped me sleeping in my room high up in the building. After several phone calls to the Duty Manager, he kindly organised a room swap to a room on the front of the hotel but there is an issue if guests are trying to sleep after 1 AM & are disturbed by a disco/very loud music from the hotel's bars. it was particularly annoying as I had an early flight & very early check out so really did not appreciate having to change rooms in the middle of the night. This conflict between bar revenue and overall reputation for being a reliable place for business guests does need seriously looking into by the management.

Great place to stay on a business trip

Rooms are great, pretty spacious with good interiors & decor. Pool side rooms offer good view. Easily no 1 choice for a business stay. Food is good. Wish there was a garden area as well.

During my stay I was impressed with service of Mr. Manvendra Rana, the inroom dining person. Very prompt in service, kudos to Taj for having a great team.
