A 45-minute drive south of New Delhi, this luxe retreat is a modern escape close to the 10th-century Surajkund Lake. The property fans out around a grand central courtyard, with lush lawns and synchronized water features, and the 287 guestrooms feature polished wood floors, private balconies and Art Deco–style furniture. Book a Premium Temptation Suite for a separate living room and a private balcony. How to Get There
My stay vivanta Surajkund was great praveen and his team at the travel desk were extremely helpful to me and even went out of there way sometimes to see that I got what I needed and got to where I needed to be. Overall good experience.
Worstest experience of any of taj group I have ever visited, in Tis hotel to raise the foot fall, they have sacrificed the brand name, the service, the Management, the cleanliness.. is worst then a road side dhaba. The quality of staff, the cleanliness in room, the service.. all are to the lowest level. Even a one star hotel has better management staff.
The check in was welcoming; the staff, I think it was Amit Dixit, explained about Surajkund and advised me to go early, before it was dark , as I was alone. Sandeep took me to my room, explaining each location in great detail [but I still got lost later, as the hotel is in two portions, one lift going up to 6th floor, and another tower with the lift going up to 10 floors].
There are rooms with balconies styled like Surajkund steps, which were more expensive. I got a pool view room, overlooking the Surajkund ground, which was also spacious, well laid out, and pretty luxurious.
In housekeeping, Sourav was attentive and places extra water for me; Reema placed a yoga mat for me, once she realised I do some yoga in the room.
The young housekeeping supervisor, Shivani, went out of her way to make me comfortable, especially as I was feeling a bit nervous initially. She showed me around the hotel, and placed some amenities that I needed: very efficient and welcoming staff, overall.
The hotel is just opposite the historic Surajkund, well worth the walk, and to see the village where arts and crafts mela is held around February every year.
Oasis restaurant serves buffet breakfast and dinner; very well decorated, and the food quality is well worth the money. All the staff are attentive, and if requested for refills, they do not inform 'self service'; they immediately attend very politely.
Paranda, the punjabi restaurant is decorated ethnically. Staff are very polite, especially Manoj, and chef Mukesh helped me by serving food as soon as possible, as I was hungry after I arrived. The decor, and even the cutlery is unique.
