Hotel Indigo deserves more than just the 5 star rating - their customer service is at its finest! We decided to leave the city for a night and stayed at Hotel Indigo Long Island East End - the shopping mall is basically behind them, wineries so close by they even have complimentary shuttles to go there and the Hamptons is just a short drive away (20mins - 30 mins). It's our 4th wedding anniversary, Krissy at the front desk checked us in and gave us complimentary breakfast as a gift, and Kristen - their VP of Operations sent us champagne in the room. Would definitely come back here - one day is not enough to enjoy what's on Riverhead.
My husband and I needed a much needed mini escape. We chose the North Fork as it's only a little over an hour from where we live, but a world away at the same time. You just feel the stress melt away as you drive through wine country. We specifically chose this hotel as it is a chic boutique style hotel. We love the decor, the jazz music piped through the sound system and the ease of check in. Our only disappointment was the breakfast buffet. We got down to the hotel restaurant by 10:15 and there was very little variety and quantity to choose from. I understand it ended.at 11 am, but there were only a few pieces of fruit and 2 mini muffins along with luke warm scrambled eggs, homefries, bacon and sausage. I guess the yogurt and granola was gone at that point as well. What we felt was really odd was there weren't coffee urns with the food for self service. Instead a sever came when you sat down to give you silverware, but you had to ask for coffee. The server asked if you wanted milk or cream and then came back from the kitchen with coffee in to go cups with cream already in the coffee and sugar was brought out separately. I found this strange as there was more cream than coffee in the cup. It's worth the extra money to forego the breakfast buffet and just order off the menu.
We went wine tasting in September and wanted to stay for a few days. Easy to get to all the wineries from the hotel. Hotel was beautiful, room was roomy. Pool and outdoor seating Great. On sit restaurant was great value and delish
We booked this hotel as part of a wedding group. The wedding rehearsal dinner was at the hotel. A good time was had by all with good food and a nice private room.
As for the stay. It was very nice and convenient. The rooms are decorated nicely. The bathroom is attractive but lacked counter space.
We recommend staying here.
