How to Get There
My husband and I needed a much needed mini escape. We chose the North Fork as it's only a little over an hour from where we live, but a world away at the same time. You just feel the stress melt away as you drive through wine country. We specifically chose this hotel as it is a chic boutique style hotel. We love the decor, the jazz music piped through the sound system and the ease of check in. Our only disappointment was the breakfast buffet. We got down to the hotel restaurant by 10:15 and there was very little variety and quantity to choose from. I understand it ended.at 11 am, but there were only a few pieces of fruit and 2 mini muffins along with luke warm scrambled eggs, homefries, bacon and sausage. I guess the yogurt and granola was gone at that point as well. What we felt was really odd was there weren't coffee urns with the food for self service. Instead a sever came when you sat down to give you silverware, but you had to ask for coffee. The server asked if you wanted milk or cream and then came back from the kitchen with coffee in to go cups with cream already in the coffee and sugar was brought out separately. I found this strange as there was more cream than coffee in the cup. It's worth the extra money to forego the breakfast buffet and just order off the menu.
We went wine tasting in September and wanted to stay for a few days. Easy to get to all the wineries from the hotel. Hotel was beautiful, room was roomy. Pool and outdoor seating Great. On sit restaurant was great value and delish
We booked this hotel as part of a wedding group. The wedding rehearsal dinner was at the hotel. A good time was had by all with good food and a nice private room.
As for the stay. It was very nice and convenient. The rooms are decorated nicely. The bathroom is attractive but lacked counter space.
We recommend staying here.
To say I am thoroughly disappointed in Hotel Indigo Long Island - East End is an understatement. My fiance and I got engaged in July 2018 and we booked our venue at the end of August in Riverhead, New York. The first thing we did was find hotel room blocks. Hotel Indigo was at the top of our list. We dealt with Kirsen Moore, Director of Sales & Marketing, who set our account up in September 2018 where we would have 10 room blocks and then they would up it from there. We called them January of this year (2019) to see how many rooms have been booked so far and when we should up our room block only to find out that Kirsen is no longer working at the hotel and that the hotel is completely booked the weekend of our wedding. We were flabbergasted. To find out this information and also to not have been told about Kirsen leaving and the hotel being booked is absurd. We feel cheated and wronged and can't believe this happened. My fiance had planned to get ready in his room there and have the hotel be a big part of a wedding day, but no longer. We were even going to have our rehearsal dinner there. The woman who is now in place of Kirsen felt so horrible, but unfortunately the damage was done. Their fix for the situation was to transfer our rooms to their "sister hotel" where they would provide a complimentary shuttle service to pick up those guests and bring them to Hotel Indigo.. only to get picked up by our shuttle for the wedding. What a mess that would have been. I will never look to book a room at Hotel Indigo every again. Extreme letdown.
Very clean and well appointed rooms , we where there for a wedding on New Years Eve the hotel provided bus transportation to the reception @ The Vinyards about 20 minutes away and the staff was very helpful 🚂
