The Lowdown

Elea Village occupies a prime spot of Greece’s coastline. Set into the hillside and surrounded by palms and pines, you can expect wonderful views over the Toroneos Gulf and a set of staff that repeatedly receive rave reviews for their attentive and friendly service. An outdoor pool provides the perfect excuse for a refreshing dip, with plenty of loungers for a day of pure chilling.
Head to the tennis court to work up a satisfying sweat or explore the area with an afternoon cycle ride – both are on offer at Elea Village. All this, set within the verdant surrounds of northern Greece, a short way from the protected natural park of Dragoudeliou – Karra.

Rooms

Rooms are comfortable and come with a terrace area, en-suite bathroom with shower and air conditioning. Each looks out over the Toroneos Gulf.

Dining

A bountiful buffet is served over breakfast, lunch and dinner, adorned with carved fruit centre pieces and exotic flowers for a truly tempting display. There’s also a pool bar, with refreshments and snacks.

Location

Elea Village is located in Sithonia Halkidiki, on the coast of Elia. The villages of Nikiti and Neos Marmaras are 10 and 12 kilometres away respectively and offer a selection of bars, restaurants and shops. The hotel overlooks the Toroneos Gulf and is just under 50 miles from Thessaloniki Airport.

5 days was more than enough !

Just returned following a few days stay and glad to be home. Only plus side of this hotel is the exterior of which is bright, clean and modern. The bedrooms are past their sell by date ! Bathroom dark, shower head took off in flight as it would not stay on the hook so the shower curtain took off with it. Beds uncomfortable you need to buy your own coffee tea milk & sugar as the one they leave is complimentary. The floor was never cleaned during our stay so shoes were worn at all times. Plus side: towels were replaced every day. The balcony was scruffy with no privacy from your neighbours and believe me with the clientele staying there you needed a brick wall between you. Food was only just edible, leftovers from the night before served for breakfast ie: carrots ! Mash potato resembled soup. Sorry but the food was targeted at the German visitors and other Europeans certainly not the English. Ì have never stayed in a hotel where there were so many miserable and rude guests. No atmosphere whatsoever! If you want a Greek dish then you will have to pay for it from the hotels separate menu. Only 3 staff were polite and friendly others were unprofessional and disorganised. We spent 6 hours in reception waiting for transport on departing it was a cold day so no where else to sit and not ONCE were we asked did we need anything may be a drink. NO nothing just totally ignored as if we were in the way. Plus side ( yes always one) take a trip to Nikiti it has a lovely beach and harbour but for shopping (water etc) Mamaras is the place to go. Great place if you want to lose weight and look at stone faced people with screaming kid's. Yet another plus, Beautiful sunsets.

Cozy hotel, nice location

Nice location on sithonia very close to koviou beach and lagomandra beach, however the beach in front of the hotel is with shallow water and very small. Excellent breakfast with rich buffet, free parking on site. The wifi connection was not so good in our room and toiletries were left only once during our stay, otherwise the room was kept clean.

What a find.

Just arrived home after a fabulous holiday here in what l can only describe as a " little gem"
On arrival, check in was straight forward. We were welcomed by a very friendly gentleman, given a map of the area and taken to our room..nice touch as l can't tell you how many hotels lve been to and just left to find your way.
As we entered the room which appeared totally adequate, clean well equipt with plenty of storage we were over the moon to find that our second wedding anniversary had been noted (picture below).
Unpacked and ready to start our holiday we sat on a lovely balcony looking out to sea taking in the views of the beautiful grounds which were spotless, and very well kept by what appears to be one groundsman...amazing.
Next stop the pool bar..again the pool and bar area was spotless and the 3 bar staff during our whole 2 week stay were on the ball, friendly and very eager to please.
To the restaurant we went. We were welcomed by very pleasant staff who again for 2 weeks looked after us so well it was a pleasure to enter the dining area every day.. the food was excellent..hot tasty and different choices every day.
A really big thank you to all the staff on the catering side of things. And to the staff who looked after us so well.
Yes you are going to find yourself relaxing on this holiday venue, and you are going to have to think ahead on what you might like to do and see.The boat trips were fabulous (booked through reception) the shuttle buses were busy so book ahead.
The drivers were very friendly and gave you information if asked.
Beach over the road was great for swimming and a stroll right out of the hotel took you to a 5 star hotel where you could use sunbed and shades free of charge.
All in all and to sum it up "A Little Gem"
In a beautiful location to which you feel like you are secluded, look into those trips,
Take a few walks and chill by the pool you won't be disappointed.
Thank you once again to each and everyone of you in front and behind of house, we had a FABULOUS TIME XXX
(Oh and thank you for my Birthday Cake it made it home!!!xx)

Friendly and quiet

I arrived at about 10 30 in the evening and was greeted by a nice man at reception, once I had registered I was taken my room ,which could do with a bit of updating ,the shower cubical needed an update (shower curtain not adequate to keep the water in the shower tray ) .the beds were immaculate and comfortable ,towels and linen changed every other day, bins emptied daily and floors cleaned. The hotel is off the main road and a fair distance from other hotels and no shops in walking distance shuttle bus to nearby villages are cheap enough and you can book various trips at reception (most trips were 10 euros cheaper booked through reception rather than the tour operator rep ) Majority of the food was hot enough and a good choice (although sweetcorn ,cheese pies or potatoes is not my choice for breakfast .The one thing that I found distasteful is that people were smoking at the tables. All the staff were lovely and helpful. There was no entertainment when I was there. The grounds are clean well kept and there are plenty of places to sit and relax or to sunbathe .

Great food!

As most Greek hotels, Elea Village too could use a renovatiion. But the rooms are clean, the central position is great and the food and coffee are excellent! Moreover, staff is very friendly and the swimming pool is perfect. What do you need more? Just enjoy the great view and relax!
