Overview
The Lowdown
Set in verdant grounds between Sanya’s inland mountain range and the coast, the Pullman Sanya Yalong Bay Resort & Spa is a serene sleep with a free shuttle to one of Hainan’s best beaches. Built around a lagoon-style pool, the public areas and villas have traditional Thai wooden roofs. The One-Bedroom Villas are inspired by decor from Myanmar and Nanyang and are spacious at 1,614 square feet. They feature a private garden, an outdoor massage area, an indoor Jacuzzi and a separate living room. Opt for a Majestic Villa for a private pool. The Deluxe Rooms (452 to 516 square feet) offer plenty of space and come with well-appointed bathrooms with tubs and rainfall and hydromassage showers. Le Spa offers Thai and Chinese massages, plus beauty treatments in a peaceful setting. There’s also a fitness center and an 18-hole golf course close by. Two bars and Rive Gauche, the resort’s smart fusion restaurant, will keep you fed and refreshed.
In the Area
There are tons of activities to try in built-for-tourists Sanya, in the southern part of Hainan Island. The beaches near the hotel are perfect for jet-skiing, paragliding and banana boating, and the hotel can help organize glass-bottom boating, deep sea fishing, snorkeling and scuba diving. There’s surfing in Riyue Bay, and lessons and equipment can be arranged with Surfing Hainan. During the Qing Dynasty, Hainan was known as the End of the Earth, and today tourists flock to the rock formation of the same name.

I am staying at the Pullman somehow I have been disappointed by the amenities inside my room number 5414. The room is smelly and the furnitures looks old. I tried to communicate somehow found the room service to be slow and communication in English is bad. With a high expectations I came to this holiday destination but somehow it has let me and my friends down. Upon my recommendation they came to this space somehow we are totally let down!
Hotel-villa is very nice. Rooms are very big and designed very romantically. From the room have separate entrance to the pool, which is very big and clean. Service is very good. To get to the beach need around 10 minutes by walk. But in general this place gives impression of very luxurious and intimate place.
We enjoyed staying so close to the beach. We thought we would make use of the private pool, but in the end we never did as we weren't sure how often it got serviced. Staff were friendly enough. One thing which was a bit difficult was getting back to the main building, because you needed to order a buggy which arrived about 90% of the time, pending how busy it was. Overall it was a nice stay, it had a room which catered to toddlers (we were travelling with 1), but when we went to have a play there was no air con, which is a must in that heat especially for children (the air con could have been off for the time we went). The hotel is also a short taxi ride from the local convenience store.
We booked a suite with a private pool and have been enjoying the stay quite a lot. The resort is about 45 minutes drive from the airport. The room is tidy and nice. The pool is just outside the bedroom. What makes the trip so pleasing is the excellent service. The staff are very helpful and kind. Want to give special thanks to 赵西民, 叶小燕 and 林朝朝. Thank you so much for the awesome room service and the cute elephant on the bed. Will definitely come back with children next time.
The resort is located in Ah Long Bay, it has apartment rooms and villa style houses. Its 10 - 15 mins walk to the beach from the lobby and 5 mins drive to the Outlets shopping mall. I stayed at the villa with own private pool with double cottages, easily fit a family of 4. The area is quite large and you need to wait for the golfcart to pick you up from the hotel lobby. Overall the maintenance is kept ok. The wifi is slow and mosquitos can keep you awake at night. The place is great if you want peace and quiet time alone with family. If you want easy access to the beach, better pick the beach side ones.
