On Sanya Bay, at the southern tip of Hainan Island, the Pullman Oceanview is a five-star megaresort with a large lagoon-style pool, tennis courts, a private beach and tons of family-friendly activities. The 469 air-conditioned guestrooms have a contemporary beach feel, with neutral tones, natural fabrics and bold accents, and they all overlook the gardens or the ocean. The bathrooms come with large separate tubs and rain showers, and the windows open fully to let in the cool sea breeze (although mosquitoes can be a nuisance in this area). The apartments are truly spacious (1,291 to 1,937 square feet) and offer 180-degree ocean views. There are two restaurants, one international and one Cantonese, and four bars, including the 17th-floor Red Sun Bar for sundowners with views.
In the Area
There are tons of activities to try your hand at in built-for-tourists Sanya, in the southern part of Hainan Island. The beaches near the hotel are perfect for jet-skiing, paragliding and banana boating, and the hotel can help organize glass-bottom boating, deep sea fishing, snorkeling and scuba diving. There’s surfing in Riyue Bay; lessons and equipment can be organized with Surfing Hainan. During the Qing Dynasty, Hainan was known as the End of the Earth, and today tourists flock to a rock formation of the same name.
How to Get There
My husband and myself have just returned today after staying at this beautiful hotel. When we were dropped off by our Thomas Cook Rep our first impressions were WOW.The lobby was beautifully decorated with a beautiful Xmas Tree and decorated lovely for Xmas throughout the hotel. The Manager and Assistant treated us so well and were so very friendly throughout our stay. They made us feel very welcome.and even took us to the Sun Bar for drinks and the view of the sunset here was amazing..They met us in the hotels restaurants too which was so nice. The food is lovely everything is 5* at this hotel. It is so well kept..and the gardens are beautiful. The hotel staff are very friendly..Cindy is extremely friendly and her english is perfect.Thankyou to Danny and Safian for making our stay truly perfect.Any person wanting to visit Sanya..you will not be disappointed. This hotel is Amazing.
We chose this resort because of good reviews and weren't disappointed. The hotel is huge, green and beautiful. The staff is very helpful and super nice. The restaurant has a great variety of food at the breakfast time, always fresh and delicious. My mom had a birthday during our stay and we were planing a surprise dinner for her. We would like to express our gratitude and appreciation to Welcomers of the hotel for their assistance and concern. Special thank you to Rostislav, who went above and beyond to make this day perfect and unforgettable. We would recommend this hotel to everyone who travel to Sanya Bay.
Arrived lunch time. Reception handled swiftly / professionally and our 2 bed apartment was ready after our lunch. Our ocean view was great and 120m2 ample for the 4 nights family stay.
With more than 147 5* hotels on the island you will have to accept inexperienced and limited English speaking hotel staff per international guest expectations. This hotel has workers from Nepal in an effort to compensate, but even there English was an issue. On the bright side this hotel hires good attitude and well intentioned crew. Everybody will greet you wherever you walk in the resort.
The swimming pools are clean (and busy), but service around the pools is amiss.
The main lobby bar design desperately needs upgrading so the staff can operate more efficiently. It would be great to have some real cigars on sale, since the humidor and whiskey is there. Drink measurements however are different to international standards.
Our 2 bed apt. has a kitchen but no utensils. I guess to encourage room service etc.
During holiday periods you may find it difficult to get a regular taxi to go sightseeing. Also when the hotel is full, they need to use both Western and Chinese restaurants to manage the breakfast flow. Shame at this time the "Club Lounge" was closed for breakfast service due to renovations.
We chose this resort for a well deserved rest and relaxing holiday. Given the Pullman name has a good reputation we had pretty high expectations but can assure you they were well and truly exceeded. The GM Mr Danny Yeo and his staff (for us it was mainly Jayden and Edward) went out of their way to ensure we were cared for and all our needs were met.
The resort has great facilities catering to all ages and interest, families, business travel and couples alike. The restaurants ensure you have plenty of options regardless of your taste. The resort is clean and well maintained, and is situated on a beautiful beach.
We can highly recommend this resort and look forward to coming back again next year. Thank you for making out holiday so special!
Good hotel, convenient location, free shuttle buses to the downtown.
A good quiet place, perhaps ideal for all family rest.
The people who working there are really professionals, they helped me with many questions. Many thanks to staff from lobby Jaden, Rostislav, Lee, and staff from restaurant Edward and Cindy.
One thing I was surprised, I never seen too many people at the breakfast time.
Restaurant was overcrowded, every table was with peope and I had to wait for a while.
