We enjoyed the Mondo Imperial so much winter 2018 that we are returning this year for two weeks. The grounds and pools are beautiful. Not on the beach but you can shuttle to the beach at their sister resort the Princess. The breakfast buffet was my favorite. It had everything I could possibly want. We received exceptional service by the pool from Kimmy and at Carnivore by Miguel. All the staff was very friendly and did their best to accommodate. The bar closes at 11pm and this is not a party hotel - but clean, classy. and overall exceptional!
Overall was not bad, the only thing that is really bad is the customer service at the reception.
First of all, me and my wife were there as we were getting married in Acapulco, when booking the reservation, I specified I was getting married. (1st) We sent an email to the reservation department just to make sure all was OK, and specified again we were there for my wedding. (2nd) We called a week prior our arrival (as we have had previous bad experiences with hotel bookings), call on which we again let them know about our wedding (3rd). And at last upon arrival at reception we said we were there as we were getting married. (4th).
I have to be clear I do not expect anything for free, (even thou we have got offered free room upgrades for no reason on other hotels) but we were expecting form them to leave a congratulations note, or at least a person to say “Congratulations for your wedding!” They were not even capable of that. They had 4 CHANCES to make a good impression, and they didn’t say a courteous “congratulations”!!!
Also in general the reception staff is careless and indifferent, not a single sign of caring for guest.
Yes, we expected top quality service, as is one of the “top hotels” in Acapulco. (as they advise) and is what you paid for. (as is one of the priciest hotels in the zone).
Any other hotel offers the same as your hotel and even better things, in terms of luxury, meaning I could have stay in any other hotel, but if we were paying a higher you expect to get an acceptable customer service… which this hotel does not offer.
TRAIN YOUR FRONT LINE STAFF on customer service and manners!! One of the main base of luxury has to be the customer relation… which you don’t have!
It’s a shame for Mexicans as local people is way more friendly than your staff.
So guys, if you plan to stay here, you can have better choices than this hotel if you are expecting an acceptable customer service and value of your money.
NOTE: The valet parking is the only one who is more courteous and show they care, maybe is because the work based on tips… but still they were really caring and courteous.
My first time staying at this resort. And my expectations were incredible! I would definitely go back to this resort! My husband and I felt in love with everything! From the suite, the food and the Pool !!!!
The whole stay was good, the best part is the Scala beach club. great place, service, food, music, the service from ricardo was great... I think I'd rather be there than in the hotel pool where theservice was POOR. In the MIZUMI restaurant the service was great specially from our waiter Juan Carlos Enrique who was very nice to us and our daughter. The breakfast options in MARCHE were quiet reduced in terms of healthy choices...
