How to Get There
Really loved this hotel. Great for the price we paid. We had a lovely room with a balcony and sea and pool view 12 floors up. Everything in the room we needed, lovely, spacious and light and cleaned well every day, even had a bunny on our bed. Nice pools, with a children's pool and two adult pools. This was a plus for us, we really loved the adult only pool, with cabanas, plenty of beds and in pool sunbathing beds. There was also an infinity adult only pool, but there weren't many beds here, so we stayed in the main adult only pool area, which was strictly enforced. Lovely and peaceful. Waiter service for drinks and food around the pool. We never ate in the restaurant as there other places to eat outside the hotel and it seemed to be mainly for all inclusive or half board residents. We had a drink at the inside bar which was o.k. but why wasn't the beach bar open until later. Closed at 6.00 before the sunset. Access to the beach, but then a charge for the beds/cabanas. Also there is a sign recommending you to be careful of eating at the food station on the beach and also beware of thieves, so didn't bother. The hotel pools were fine with us. The staff didn't speak very good English and we were in the minority, but who cares. Would recommend this place to anyone. There are tourist police patrolling, so felt quite safe to go out and about, but caught taxis back after dark. Some nice restaurants to walk to Terra Luna and Tabasco Beach. Particularly loved Tabasco Beach. Happy hour provides two for one drinks and lovely setting above the beach. Also plenty of bars if you turn right out of the hotel towards Tabasco beach, particularly liked Alex Bar which had a happy hour until 7.00, two for one. Very friendly.
Some years ago, but still the same?
Beautiful hotel, professional staff everywhere.
Very nice, huge room, 8.floor, with a excellent view, nearly the hole bay.
The pool areas very nice too - but difficult to get sun chairs or - lounges, all was taken early. Breakfast and buffet very good, but very busy, many guests, many children - there was queue everywhere and noisy. Same queue in the reception every morning.
It was only for 3 nights, ok - but I wouldn't stay for a week!
Outside the hotel same problems in the evening, a lot of restaurants, very crowded everywhere, many, many tourists; -very difficult to get a table for 2!
The service in general very good pools good service the reception take a little but I thought it was good and this super well and I have no complaint of anything and the food is good no doubt some is recommended to relax
The Emporio is a large hotel on the beach at La Diana in Acapulco, Mexico. It is a very popular hotel with the Mexican people and was very crowded the week we were here. It has three large swimming pools - two of which are adults only. We had a 9th floor room which was spacious, quiet, comfortable and offered excellent views of the beach. The buffet breakfast gets very hectic and busy. The sun lounges around the pool get taken early so it is a rush to get them. There are lots of bars and restaurants nearby. There are also several supermarkets, malls and a cinema close by.
Was fantastic 10 years agò. Now it is old and a mess. Cabanas on the beach are invaded by massage ladies and their tables. Our beach bag was stolen, as there are no more security as they had before. I included a pic of crowded beach cabanas, very noisy and dangerous.
