At the highest point of Brisas Marques overlooking all of Acapulco and the Pacific Ocean, Encanto Acapulco is an avant-garde marvel conceived by architect Miguel Angel Aragones. Like a modernist pueblo atop a hill, the gallery-like public spaces and boxy accommodations standout in brilliant white against green landscape and blue sea. Guestrooms are designed to draw the eye outside to the furnished private balconies and Acapulco vistas beyond, so interiors are simply dressed in toffee creams and whites, from the marble floors, bed frames and desks, to the crisp white linens and curtains. After dark, interiors show off a more playful side with funky neon lighting schemes in bright blues and purples. All rooms have flat-screen TVs, free WiFi and modern bathrooms with dual vanities and L’Occitane amenities, and many have private swimming pools. Terraza restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch while Origen restaurant is open for dinner, serving an eclectic mix of fusion dishes and fresh international favorites. There’s also a full-service pampering spa, state-of-the-art gym and exceptional hilltop swimming pool with huge daybeds for daytime lounging in the sunshine.
In the Area
Acapulco was once the playground of Hollywood stars and moguls, and although those golden days are long gone, there’s a certain renaissance under way in this rakish resort town. Get into the retro spirit with a water skiing session courtesy of Gordon Rathbun at Ski Paradise, then visit the legendary Hotel Los Flamingos, a 1930s-era hotspot that has hosted celebrities like John Wayne and Cary Grant, before heading to see the famous cliff divers at La Quebrada.
How to Get There
Designed by architect, Miguel Angel Aragones, the hotel’s gorgeous design informs every aspect of the location and property with plays of light and gorgeous vistas at every turn.
Encanto is a unique and special property that brings modern elegance to Acapulco. The rooms are gorgeous and super clean and the design is very well thought out. I found the service to be excellent and the staff were all so friendly and extremely helpful.
The hotel manager, Enrique, was always on property and available to make sure your stay was nothing less than perfect. The concierge and check-in staff were so personable and made everything so easy – especially Dafne, Fanny, Arantza and Jessicya. The restaurants were lovely as was dining by the pool in a cabana – Candido, Jose, Julio, Ricardo and Hugo were all was super attentive and accommodating and went the extra mile to make sure that my stay was flawless. I had a fantastic massage in the Spa while I was there and highly recommend Patricia who was extremely helpful with booking and showing me the spa and was an excellent masseuse.
I highly recommend this gorgeous property and look forward to returning again – and am booking very soon!
Exquisite, elegant , modern , minimalist hotel with an amazing Infiniti pool overlooking the Acapulco bay. The staff is very professional and speak English which is a plus.
The food is really good for lunch and breakfast, but the dinner could do better.
This is one of the finest hotels that we have ever stayed at. The rooms are overwhelming and the one we had included a private swimming pool. The food is superb. The staff is wonderful and will go out of their way to assist.
If you are thinking of going to Acapulco and want an unforgettable hotel experience, you need to stay at the Encanto. They provide transportation reasonable travel arrangements from the airport and around the city. No need to rent a car or call a taxi. We took thee transportation from the hotel to the diving show an included dinner while the driver waited for us. A real no hassle visit.
Open again. Had an amazing dinner last night. Chef prepared an amazing lobster that could not have been cooked more to perfection. Price was a pleasant surprise. As always the ambience was perfect. Also a must try is the chicken breast. How they cook it to achieve perfect moisture i dont know but it was melt in your mouth good.
The hotel is amazing, and encanto is the perfect name both for the for the structure (fancy and stilish) and for the view of the Acapulco bay. The service is one of the best i’ve ever received, special mention for Josè, kind, preparated and helpful. The kitchen is stunning in terms of dishes preparation and decoration. Price is adeguated for the level. For sure i’ll be back in encanto if i’ll have the chance to be again in Acapulco.
