Overview

The Review

Just an hour or so from cosmopolitan Hong Kong, Shenzhen was once known as the Middle Kingdom’s industrial hub. Today the city is the home and playground of some of China’s wealthiest people and a spa destination for weary urbanites from Hong Kong.

The Futian Shangri-La, in the center of Shenzhen’s business district, is an oasis amid the urban chaos, offering the brand’s world-class service alongside three dining venues and nearly 10,000 square feet of spa and health club facilities.

Each of the 548 guestrooms has a 37-inch wall-mounted plasma TV, and a 15-inch LCD TV by the bathtub as well; the tub is complemented by a separate rainfall shower.

There are four on-site dining venues: the Shang Garden, a casual spot serving Cantonese and Huaiyang cuisine; Café Zen, an open-kitchen buffet offering Hong Kong specialties and local favorites; Fook Lam Moon, which specializes in upscale private dining; and the Lobby Lounge, where quick drinks and bar bites are accompanied by live music from 8 p.m. to midnight daily.

The Futian Shangri-La’s eight-room spa offers treatments based on both Eastern and Western philosophies. If the massages and facials aren’t enough to bring back your Zen, the rest of the health club facilities — the indoor pool, tennis courts, sauna and Jacuzzi — can keep you busy for hours.

It not only feels like home but the service and team are beyond superb. We are blown away by their professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond every year. Excellent 5 star hotel for business travelers

I stayed at the Futian Shangri-La Hotel recently on a business trip. Among other 5 star hotels I've stayed in Futian, I found Shangri-La hotel to be the best for business travelers. Staffs are well trained and extremely kind. For business meeting or banquet, Shangri-La has very spacious space for any event. Mr. Linges of F&B Department was extremely helpful in accommodating our needs. For business travellers Futian Shangri La hotel is most convenient. HK-Shenzhen express rail station is right next to the hotel (Exit 10). Also it is close to the Convention center. Also, there are many restaurants, shopping malls nearby for family trip as well. Highly recommended !!
