How to Get There
I recently stayed at the Meli Palace with my wife and toddler for 10 days.
We had a fantastic stay. The highlight were the fantastic staff who were so friendly and helpful, especially with our daughter.
The beach is private and clean and there was always enough space there and around the pool.
The room was a good size and clean.
I would highly recommend a stay at this hotel.
Just back from a 2 week holiday at Meli Palace. We arrived at almost midnight, no sooner were we off the coach a porter took our luggage to the hotel. We received a very warm welcome and a juice drink. We were taken to our room on the 2nd floor and our luggage came within minutes. Our room was a good size, very clean and lovely comfy beds. There was plenty of storage space, however the hanging space was quite short. There was a fridge with bottled water, soft drinks and 2 plates of sandwiches. The bathroom had a shower over the bath and screen. The hotel is in a very quiet area, with gardens and its own beach with sun loungers and parasols. Towels are provided at no extra cost. Sisi is about 30 minutes walk away or €6 in a taxi. There was a variety of food choices in the restaurant, although some not hot enough at times. The breakfast omelettes were lovely, as were the 4min soft boiled eggs. There was a good drinks choice, the White Lady cocktail being a particular favourite of mine. Our room was cleaned to a very high standard. We were given use of the showers in the spa as we had a late departure and could not keep our room. We were given bottles of water, luggage taken to the taxi and waved off by staff. A very big thank you to all the staff, you are all amazing and always smiling. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable. We went on the Happy Train, which was great and well worth €18 each, thank you George. Would we re visit the Meli Palace, definitely.
An excellent hotel situated in a very quiet location. That could be a downside as there is no where to walk to apart from a rocky ascent. Could be difficult for those not fleet of foot!! In fact our tour rep injured herself whilst walking to sissi along the hill footpath.
However the hotel itself makes up for this isolation. Entertainment every night. A children's' club and lots of sporst to participate in i.e. volley ball, water polo. archery, darts, cookery demonstration etc. A lovely outdoor pool with a life guard and access to a private beach complete with sun loungers and umbrellas. Lots of shade when the temperature rises. The food is varied, served buffet style but there is an option for a la carte. (which we did one evening) again delicious. The deserts are too yummy and are very varied. The big big plus is the amazing friendly staff. It starts when you first enter the hotel and continues through to the restaurant staff, room staff and right up to senior level. The Manager of the hotel is visible and the restaurant manager (Michael) is a great asset to this hotel.
