Forum Suites is a collection of stylish apartments just outside Chania, the second-largest city on the beautiful Greek island of Crete. The accommodations themselves represent a modern take on a classic Greek aesthetic; all clean, straight lines, whitewashed walls and flat roofs. Their surroundings are even more eye-catching – they’re set in beautiful gardens, a stone’s throw from the sandy beach of Chrissi Akti.
Everything you’ll need is on your doorstep. There’s fantastic Cretan cuisine at the Forum Bar & Grill, and a mini-market is on hand should you feel like picking up some fresh local produce to whip up for dinner in your apartment. The resort also offers two outdoor pools, a playground for the kids, a library and a gym.
You’d be missing out, though, if you didn’t venture further afield. There are several other beautiful beaches in the area, while the city of Chania itself is well worth a visit. Boasting a stunning location with the Aegean Sea on one side and the White Mountains on the other, the city is home to ancient Minoan and Byzantine ruins, arts and crafts boutiques, and cozy tavernas.
How to Get There
I’m into my second week staying here at the Forum Suites and I have to remark on how hard working and friendly the staff are in keeping this apartment complex running smoothly.
It had been a while since we were in Crete and a relaxing break was on the cards especially after the weather tantrums in Ireland since last October.
We booked blindly but have no qualms in recommending these premises but do try to get an top floor apartment as I’d imagine if you had noisy neighbors overhead then lack of sleep might be a turn off but we have not encountered that yet.
It’s a 20/25 min walk to the old town of Hania or hop on a No. 21 bus. Beach is literally across the road.
Nice place, clean apartments, somewhere between basic and luxurious, newly decorated, good breakfast, nice beaches within a few minutes walk, friendly staff, good base to explore west crete and the mountains
It is a set of very basic appartments built around a small pool.
It all seems newly built, all concrete, funny shape inside the appartment,
twin beds. We were expecting much better given the reviews and the price. 3km from the center of Hania. Nice beach across the street and a bus to town every 30mn. Nothing interesting in the surroundings, only concrete newly built houses and resorts.
all the rooms are on the floor ground facing the little pool, the appartments upstairs are studio, little terrasses private but no intimacy as they are all close to each .
Thank you for the lovely stay! It was perfect and I really enjoyed everything! The variety at the breakfast (eggs, cakes, pies, etc), the quite swimming pool and the sandy beach in front of the hotel! I will definitely come back!
Forum Suites is located very well close to Chania and nice sandy beaches. The recently upgraded room was large and stylish. The only thing we missed in the bathroom was a shelf to put i.e toilet bags. In the restaurant we were served in an outstanding way by Maria, Regina and Giannis.
