Wonderful visit to Hamburg

Stayed 3 nights after a short cruise on QM2. Conveniently located for all public transport. Staff well trained, polite and helpful. Breakfast terrific and also ate in one evening - again very good. Quirky hotel that exceeded our expectations. Thorough enjoyed Hamburg and would stay at this hotel next time.

Unique building

The hotel is unique and built into an old water tower in the Sternschanze parc, an oasis in the city and is located just next to an S-Bahn and subway station and just 5' away from Sternschanze area, a very multi-cultural area in Hamburg.
The rooms are not too big but with all comfort of a 4* superior house. Our room on the 11th floor had limited view as the windows are rather small.
When we arrived the air condition was somehow defect, we mentioned that to the reception and within short time a technician was there to fix it!
Breakfast buffet is very rich and offers typical german/continental breakfast. The freshly made omelette was delicious.
We once had dinner outside, i.e. next to the Sternschanze parc. The food was excellent, service was good and friendly.
The gym is rather small, the equipment would need some maintenance.
Staff is very well trained, friendly and very helpful - the reception always seemed to be just understaffed.

The hotel style is unique. I never saw such a place before. Really impressive.
If you overcome the first impression you discover a four star hotel with very nice staff and a good breakfast selection.
The rooms are quite, big and very clean. The bath room is very well maintained and big.
The bad is comfy but if your partner move, you move with her/him.
The cave bar is also a nice place to be, to end and evening.
The location is perfect to explore Hamburg.

Great hotel in an old water-tower

Well presented hotel, efficient staff. Room was a good size, modern and very clean. Great views from most rooms. Excellent breakfast buffet, one of the best we had in Europe. The hotel is close to a station, so it's easy to get around, especially to the Central station
The hotel is alongside a great park, which is great to walk through. Highly recommend this hotel.
