How to Get There
We spent 4 days in the Westin grand hotel and we had fantastic time. Breakfast was amazing, excellent choice of food. The service were very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is very central, near under den linden.
I recommend this hotel , and I will book again this hotel in my next visit in Berlin.
This is a beautiful older hotel that has been kept up nicely. The rooms are older so if you are looking for a more contemporary hotel, you would need to go elsewhere. We got a larger room and it was quite nice. views out onto the courtyard. the property is in a wonderful location and just walking distance to the Reichstadt, Brandenburg Gate, the large central park, the subway, and the Christmas market!! Overall, the staff were a bit on the cool side, but the concierge staff are incredible!! Friendly and very helpful, so we spent the majority of our conversations with them. It truly is a gargantuan property in the middle of the city with an enormous central staircase. We went when Christmas decorations were up, and there is a 5 story Tree of lights hanging from the ceiling over the staircase. it is tremendous and got us in the Christmas spirit right away!
Stayed here for a short period on a business trip. It's an old building and hotel and it really has a "grand" character. If you want modern and minimalist, look somewhere else. But if you appreciate some clean, well maintained old school style from time to time: this is your spot. Lovely staff at reception and clean rooms. Would stay here again.
What can I say, this hotel was as grand as I expected it to be. The staff were lovely and attentive, very helpful at check in and our room was ready early as previously requested.
Our room was on the second floor with a city view. I wouldnt request a garden view as it is just an overgrown patio area. We heard no street noise whatsoever and had a lovely sleep in our comfy queen sized bed.
The atmosphere in the lobby bar area was lovely to sit and enjoy an evening drink. The live pianist was a lovely touch.
This hotel is in the centre of everything you would need. It is right on unter den Linden which leads to Brandenburg gate.
I would definitely stay here again if visiting berlin. The only downside to this hotel is the relish restaurant, but I did not let that effect my review of this hotel how can find my review on their own TripAdvisor page Relish.
We've visited Berlin the very first time and this hotel's location absolutely superb! The breakfast is not for 5 stars hotel. Very pure variety of food ,not freshly cooked food available ,only fried eggs.
