How to Get There
I stayed here for my birthday weekend and apart from the location of the hotel, there is nothing else to compliment here.
We informed the staff of the special occasion that we were celebrating - they did not care. Which is fair, its not their job to care. But I've traveled across the world and the only reason one stays at hotels such as the Westin is for the promise of service - we did not receive this.
Our room was located in the new renovated part of the hotel apparently but that meant we had no access to the room from the main building, so we had to take an elevator then walk for about 10 minutes and then use a pathetic service elevator just to get to our room. This got very annoying, very fast.
Our room was very hot, so when I asked for a fan that was provided - I suppose that is the bare minimum service we received. All in all I was very disappointed with this stay and will not be returning to the Westin in Berlin.
My boyfriend and I stayed in The Westin Grand for 3 nights, and it was beautiful.
The hotel is situated in the centre of Berlin, a 10 minute walk from the train station and a 15 minute walk from Brandenburg Gate. There are many high-end shops around the hotel as well as a few restaurants and one or two supermarkets (in the mall.)
We arrived at around noon (check-in was at 3pm) however when we arrived our room was ready!
We were in a queen room with city views and it was lovely - very clean and the most comfortable beds! The room was cleaned daily and fresh glasses and amenities were given everyday. There is a mini-bar and safe in rooms as well.
We were told it was 36.00 euros and were offered a reduced price of 19.00 euros on arrival - but we decided not to eat breakfast at the hotel, so unfortunately I cannot comment on the breakfast!
It is a brilliant hotel and we will recommend to anyone staying in Berlin!
We stayed mid week for 4 nights. Excellent hotel.Beautiful rooms and comunal areas. Piano player a lovely touch each evening and a splendid seting for the last cocktail of the evening. Hotel is central for all attractions.
All staff polite and helpful. Very worthy of its 5* rating.
A true 5☆ hotel. Comfortable rooms with all facilities you would expect from a fine establishment. Luxurious pool area, relaxing spot to spend some quiet time. The lobby bar is a first class place for a drink and meal with excellent choices on the menu and drinks list. Friendly helpful staff throughout the hotel with the exception of one rude waitress. Brilliantly located in centre of Berlin. Would recommend
A lovely hotel in the center of Berlin. Friendly checkin and great interior with the dramatic foyer. Reminded me of some of the art deco style interiors in New York. The room was very comfortable and the bed was like sleeping on fluffy clouds. The only negative is that the breakfast area was very crowded, although the food was great, the area might benefit by having dividers to make the space less crowded.
