A traditional five-star hotel in central Berlin, with an address on one of the city's iconic shopping avenues

The Lowdown

Going high-end in Berlin will typically mean opting for cutting-edge modern design or the polar opposite: classical, time-proven luxury. Kempinski Hotel Bristol Berlin fits into the latter category, showcasing old-school European elegance, discreet service and a stunning location on the Kurfürstendamm. Staying on this iconic avenue, you’ll be steps away from luxury boutiques, hip cafés and exquisite restaurants.
Opposite the Uhlandstraße U-Bahn station and minutes from the famous Berlin Zoo, this five-star gem is one of the city’s landmark hotels. Inside, there’s a fine-dining restaurant, a brasserie and a piano bar, plus an upscale spa with a beautiful heated pool and a thermal zone. And that’s not to mention your lovely guest room, where you’ll find regal décor, high-end furnishings and all the mod cons needed for a serene stay in this trendy town.

Each of the 323-square-foot Superior rooms is appointed in a traditionally elegant style and includes a marble en-suite with a bathtub. For a bit more room, upgrade to a Junior suite, where you’ll find 484 square feet of space, as well as a spacious seating area.

Gourmet cuisine is served in the hotel’s Kempinski Grill, and French cuisine can be found at Reinhard’s at Kurfürstendamm, complete with a terrace overlooking the famous avenue. For drinks and cocktails, head to the Gobelin Halle lounge or Bristol Bar.

Keeping with the elegance of the hotel, the spa exudes European sophistication. Facilities include a heated, 59-foot pool, a sauna, a steam room with a cold-water plunge pool, a solarium, a pool bar and a fitness center. A range of high-end therapies and treatments are available.

Located in central Berlin, west of Tiergarten, the hotel sits right on Kurfürstendamm, the famous shopping boulevard, just a short walk from the lovely KaDeWe department store. Its position, opposite the Uhlandstraße U-Bahn station, ensures easy access to just about every Berlin neighborhood, and it’s only a five-minute walk from Berlin Zoo.

Best hotel staff ever.

Cannot fault that stay whatsoever. The rooms are spacious and modern. The location of the hotel itself is great. The bar in the hotel is perfect and service is speedy but what really made it were the staff themselves. Hands down the best, most fun and most helpful staff I've ever come across in a hotel.

Great Location, great place to stay!!

What a great location this hotel is in. Not far from plenty of shopping, the zoo and other attractions, this is an ideal place to set your self up in.

Beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. Bathroom was also pretty decent. Everything looked well maintained. The staff were all vrey friendly and even joined in on our little parties.

The only complaint wss our coffee / hot chocolate order was seriously wrong, but we kind of got there in the end. All is well that ends well.

The bar in the lobby served amazing cocktails and in the basement you would find an amazing spa area with a great pool!
The staff was really helpful and classy

Nice classic hotel

The Bristol is a classic property, that is no longer as competitive as the newer hotels, but is a bargain, when deals present themselves...

Stayed in a Deluxe Queen room. Although a little small by modern standards, the bathroom is large, with two sinks and a tub. The furnishings were recent, and even included a line of luxury boutique toiletries for use... The climate control was fine, although a little tricky to use...

The facilities were okay, I used the pool to cool off, as it was very warm while I was there. Took a look at the gym, which was a little on the small side, but was sufficient for the purpose...

I didn’t have breakfast in the hotel, as there are plenty of less expensive options in the neighborhood...

Overall, a satisfactory stay..

Old School Hotel

The facilities are very old: air condition does not cool down the room in hot summer; Gym is way too small; German style beddings( especially the pillows) are not comfortable. It feels that this hotel stayed in 60’s permanently and is just antiquated. Housekeeping staffs and front desk are very friendly. The breakfast service is not acceptable: the buffet has good ranges of food, but the waiter/waitress are terrible, if there is even any service there.
