Mitte is situated right in the heart of Berlin and is the city’s most historic district. You’ll have a huge choice of restaurants, bars and theaters in the ancient courtyards of
Hackeshe Hofe. Mitte is also home to some of the city’s finest Prussian
architecture; Berlin Cathedral is only a five-minute walk from the hotel. Head off for ten-minutes in the other

How to Get There
I booked this hotel as a present for my hubby's birthday. I wanted a good-sized room to be able to decorate and surprise him. From the very beginning of organising the birthday surprise, I was impressed by their flawless customer service. Nancy (the one I was in contact with) gave me prompt replies with great information and updates. It is my first time organising something like this, I thought that being in different countries would be a problem but everything was smooth sailing thanks to her. I sent her different photos from Google of what I had in mind and my budget and the results were more than perfect. There was even a handwritten card from Nancy which was a nice touch as most hotels tend to type out their cards if they give one. The room was decorated amazingly and my partner couldn't stop taking pictures and sending it to his family. And even though I gave a budget, thry were able to keep it under instead of taking advantage of the money I offered. I have nothing but praise for the team for helping me arrange this. We had an amazing stay and we will definitely stay with you again if we end up in Berlin. Thank you Nancy and to the Adina Checkpoint Charlie team for the amazing service!
The rooms are very spacious. We only booked a standard double so I can imagine the better rooms would be bigger. The duvet they supply are 2 singles but it wasn't a problem for us at all. There is a gym, sauna, swimming pool and whirlpool open until very late. The gym is basic but gets the job done and better than a lot of hotels' box "gyms".
There is a Lidl 3mins walk, Mall of Berlin 20mins walk, Sony Centre 25mins walk, and a lot of stuff to do around the area.
The only negative experience we had during our stay was in the restaurant. We ordered the mango trifle and apple strudel after checking the allergen information to confirm that it did not contain nuts. However, when we received the order, it was slathered in hazelnuts. We double checked the menu to see if we may have missed this information but we haven't, it just wasn't mentioned. The staff were nice enough to remake the dessert without the hazelnut garnish so everything was fine in the end. However, I think it was lucky that my partner only has a mild allergy to hazelnuts. It might be a good idea to add more allergen warnings on the menu as many people could have more severe reactions. It seems to be a problem with a lot of restaurants in Europe so I suggest asking your server before ordering anything.
Each year I stay at The Adina Hotel Checkpoint Charlie. The rooms are spacious, the staff is unfailingly cheerful and friendly and a drink by the fireplace at the end of an evening is always the perfect wind down from a busy day.
Nice, clean place in convenient location. Very nice and helpful team in the facility. Every question was answered and all was clearly explained during the stay. Totally recon this facility to my colleagues for their business trips!
Very good except the beds and the very very tiny blankets! The location is perfect and it is very clean.
The size of the room is very big and there is everything there when you travel for a long period.
Excellent in all area of hospitality. Good environment, services, very neat. Good staff and friendly. Means of transport was very easy, not far from train station and bus station. Shopping malls very close by
