Date Trip

This was a fun spa and resort. The rooms were nice. The lodge was up in the mountains, seemed a little dated but the staff and grounds were nice. There was an indoor outdoor pool and bars on property. The golf course looked real nice. We did a wine excursion and it was a blast to crane creek winery. The meals were also good at the resort.

Getaway Weekend

We loved it! Nestled in the mountains. Choice of bar restaurant or more expensive restaurant; indoor pool; balcony for relaxing. We out to the little town in the daytime and browsed and then back to hotel for dinner. Enjoyed some quiet couple time.

The Good, The Bad, The Ugly, The Redemption.

My husband was here in Young Harris for work at a local hospital and my son and I tagged along to stay at this resort. The Good: The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Every staff member we encountered was friendly. The sunset on the balcony outside the lobby is stunning. The pool is nice because it is indoor/outdoor. The Bad: The spa is not located on site, but across the main highway. The outdoor pool side is a little small and shallow. The smell if chlorine on the indoor pool side is overwhelming. The cabin rooms are located a distance from the lodge so be prepared to walk. The bathroom door wouldn't close easily because it was not level in the frame. It was hard to reach a comfortable temperature in the cabin room due to the humidity. The Ugly: Unfortunately we had a cabin next to a group of Police School Resource Officers who were there for a convention. They were constantly being loud and drunk and hanging out on the front porch of the cabins always blocking the entrance when we were coming in and taking our rocking chairs. You could hear them through the walls. I had to stick my head out the first night and ask them to be quiet as my husband had to be up at 6:30. They didnt. They had liquor bottles and cigar butts everywhere. The last night they were acting like a bunch of frat boys and turned one of the cabins into party central with loud music. Unfortunately our cabin key wasn't working and we had to have a key brought to us. We thought the guy that brought the key might say something when he saw it and after we complained, but as far as we know he didnt. We didn't get any sleep for two nights. The day we were checking out (noon) they were up at 7:00 am, yes even after partying all night, being loud and annoying. I even heard a guy yelling about body wash through the walls. The Redemption: Upon checkout the front desk clerk asked about our stay and I informed him while the place itself was absolutely beautiful the rude obnoxious next door guests had little to be desired. He apologized sincerely and offered us a sizeable refund on our room. This act alone is why I am leaving an excellent review, because he made it right even though it wasn't their fault. However those guests from the Early County/Blakely Police School Resource Office should be utterly embarrassed for their behavior.
