Wonderful stay

Only stayed one night but looking forward to going back for a longer stay. The room was clean and nicely appointed. The whole resort was done in a log cabin/mountain theme that was warm and inviting. Loved it. Can't wait to go back and play some golf. They also offered horse back riding, and many hiking trails. Lovely property. Highly recommend

Seafood buffet.

The seafood buffet was disappointing.
After you paid more for the crab it just was not up to par.
I had been there several years ago and it was great.
The desserts were mediocre at best and obviously frozen

Visited facility for the first time and experience was great. We did the spa and horseback riding on the hills was a highlight of our short vacation. We had a bed and breakfast rate and the quality of food was excellent. Definitely coming back.

We stayed here for our 20th wedding anniversary in March. This was our second stay at the resort. 3rd trip to the Spa. We had a great time at the resort. We spent the first evening in Brassies playing pool and watching March Madness with every one else. It was a thursday night.

Friday was suppose to be our relaxing spa day. I had called and ordered us each a mani, pedi and massages. The girl on the phone told me our appts were at 3 but to get there an hour early and hang out. I thought we could have time before our appts and after. My husband called the day before to confirm that our massages were individuals and not a couple and on Friday appt 1:20 he asked was I sure we were at 2 because the girl said something about 1:30. We called and sure enough we were suppose to be there at 1:30. When we got there at about 1:38 we were already late for our nail appt. They started on us and both of our nail techs were amazing and we loved them. But I had to wait til after my massage to come back out and paint my nails. I went and changed and went to sit for a min and they came and got me immediately for my massage. Both massages were great. When I came out I had to go change and get my clothes back on to get my nails done. While doing my nails, the 3 girls at the desk were gossiping and complaining about other clients so loud that the nail tech had to stop and go to the door, she hushed them and then shut the door. After my nails were done, I went to find my husband. He was drinking a glass of wine on the back deck, alone. I sat with him and one of the girls came out. I asked if I could have another poinsettia (they gave us a one while we were getting nails done first) she came back with cranberry juice, a glass and a small bottle of Korbel. Unopened. We waited for a few mins thinking she was coming back. My husband finally went inside and the other guest said "good luck. She did the same to me and I had to go to the front to get it opened." My husband brought it back to me and we waited. She came back and we asked her to open the bottle and bring my husband a glass of wine. She said ok. She returned and told us the kitchen was closed because they close at 4:30 and she could not get a glass of wine. I asked her if 4:30 was when they stop seeing other people or if everyone had to leave then. She said everyone has to leave by 4:30. It was 4:23 and I am not sure what I was suppose to do with this bottle I just got when I had to leave. We were upset that we had no time to enjoy the rest of the spa. Both previous visits I lounged, used the sauna and the shower and just relaxed. This day was not about relaxing. Every question we asked the 3 girls at the front desk had to be asked to someone else. They did not know how to run the desk. One of them told us they would contact the manager. We wanted to know if we could visit on Saturday to relax since we were still staying at the resort. They did not give us an answer. So I asked the resort. They said we could not but they credited one of our nights at the resort. Which was very nice and I appreciated that credit. I still would have preferred not to leave a spa feeling anxious and rushed. It was a real disappointment.
Saturday was golf. They had sanded and aerated the greens so we were warned a head of time. We had a great day. I didn't play but the course is beautiful and we had fun. The cart girl came out and had nothing on the cart I could drink. We said that was fine and she left. No big deal. Probably 15 mins later she comes back. Said she felt bad so she went and tracked down bloody mary fixins. Above and beyond for her. That just added to the beauty of the day.
We ate breakfast twice in the dining room. Once ordered, once buffet. All was great. Room was very clean. Cleaning service is on the ball. We left twice during the late morning hours and hung a service card on the door. Both times we came back for something. They were still on our floor but they had already came and cleaned our room. We were impressed. We used the workout room, pool, shopped, etc and everything was great. The Resort would get 4.5 stars if it weren't for the spa disappointment. BTW. Hit The Copper Door restaurant about 15 mins away.

Where is the Southern Hospitality? Terrible customer service.

We were in the area and thought we'd stop for breakfast. We were shown the dining area and a girl started to mumble that she could not show us to a table and that she didn't know where the other girl was. We waited a few minutes. Another girl appeared and told us (after we've been waiting for her) that it was 11:03 and they stop serving at 11:00 AM. We are welcomed to come back in 30 minutes for lunch. It showed us that these people clearly do not feel their customers are important and we surely felt unwelcome to say the least. We will not return for a get away weekend, breakfast, lunch or dinner.
