As an anniversary treat for my wife on the way home from a two week vacation in Florida, we stayed a night in the Hyatt Regency Suites in Atlanta. The previous two weeks was family time, so this was supposed to be our time for celebration. The arrival was perfect. Our valet, bellman was outstanding. He greeted us, helped load the baggage on the cart, parked our car and helped us to our room. The perfect start to a romantic evening. The suite was very nice, not new, but well appointed and modernized to a reasonable extent. I forgot to check and verify feather- free bedding. As soon as we discovered the feather pillows we called the front desk and asked for feather free replacements. More than 30 minutes later we received 2 to replace the 5 feather pillows in the room. Of course we asked for 2 more, but more than an hour later we had to call again to remind them of our need. That’s when we were told that they were full and may have difficulty in meeting our need. My wife is badly allergic and feather free is rarely a problem once requested- in fact some Hyatts have pillow menus on the bed when you check in. This is really a disappointment for the Hyatt brand. As you will see from my review of the Hyatt in Seoul South Korea, they are a great brand that I respect. This one just fell short on a basic item like pillows. Really a shame.

Decent Older hotel

We all agreed we would give the hotel about 3.5 stars. It is an older hotel, so the rooms have shown some wear and tear. But it was still clean and for the price, it was nice to have two rooms to spread out on our down time. I had read complaints of the parking charge, which ch at first didn’t really bother me, as many hotels have started to charge for parking. However, it did seem a bit ridiculous to have to pay $10 to park down a flight of stairs and across a parking lot at the Mellow Mushroom building because the hotel lot was full.

Far enough away from downtown but not too far away...plus you have Cumberland and Perimeter malls right there with plenty of restaurants to your liking. Being a Hyatt's Passport member I've traveled to different Hyatt's and this one meets their above average standard. Staff was helpful and pleasant

Be aware that you have to pay for regular parking to the tune of $10.00 a day. There is only one elevator working ad one evening there was no elevator working and we had to go up in the service elevator or walk. The rooms are very expensive to have to apy for parking.

Poorly Managed Hotel That Just Wants Your Money

Have been at this hotel for the past five (5) days. Our stay is related to a team sporting event and this is the hotel the team selected - or we would have left five (5) days ago. First - as you can see by the exterior design and color - this is an old and outdated hotel. It only gets worse when you go inside. Don’t expect to park without issue - parking is $10/day (self park) or $15/day valet. Don’t expect to check-in early at all without issue - there’s a $35 “early check-in Fee. I bet your thinking, “they must offer a great complimentary breakfast to their guests.” NO - nothing here is complimentary. There is a $17.49/per person fee for breakfast (which is the same food that every other hotel offers complimentary). The interior is outdated and poorly maintained. The employees are stand-offish and don’t engage or assist guests. The restaurant serves a limited menu of Italian food and there is never anyone there (that’s for a reason - read the reviews). However, the food service workers are the only friendly employees - presumably because the work for tips. The rooms are spacious (it’s called “Suites”) - but virtually every room seemed to have its own maintenance issue that seem to go unaddressed. The past five (5) days only one elevator has worked (the one working has broken 3 times that I know if during my stay). Management says their “updating” the down elevator. The elevator repair guys says it’s broken and they are waiting for parts. Management lies to guests at every turn. There are so many better options than this hotel - I can’t imagine that any guest would ever return after staying here. If I could give zero stars I would have
