How to Get There
We stayed in the resort to enjoy the water park amenities. When we made the reservation, we were told the water park was open on Friday. Even the pamphlet information at the resort indicated that it was open, and it wasn’t. This was disappointing to our entire family as we planned to do something special with the kids before they return to school.
When bringing the issue to the front desk, the only solution from the staff was: well ma’am, you can choose to check out tonight and we will reimburse your credit card. This was an unacceptable solution for a family of four, after we have already checked in, used the room and the pool.
We didn’t feel valued when we stayed at the hotel. For that reason, we are not planning to stay there as a family, or to recommend the resort to any other family in the future.
The cabins at Legacy Lodge were very nice. Our cabin had 2 separate bedrooms and a couch that folded out. The cabin was very spacious. There was a fireplace in the living room.
There are a few downsides. Parking at the cabins is very limited. We were in a cabin that was in a group in the middle and there was about 4-5 parking spaces for 6 cabins. There is additional parking kinda far away. If you are going to the main hotel for anything (food, front desk, etc) it is about a 10 minute drive from the cabin. The cabin has a mini kitchen but there is no oven.
My experience was a pleasurably one, the food was delicious, staff was awesome and the grounds are beautiful, lots to do . I would recommend to families, couples etc. The Margarita Cruise was nice and relaxing with a beautiful sunset view.
