Beautiful hotel with clean rooms, and an awesome staff.

This was a business trip for a couple for January 3 - 4, 2019 with a very late arrival. The staff was lovely, and accommodating. The continental breakfast was delicious and coffee service perfect. I cannot the staff's name, but they were all supportive staff and good people!

Nice Hotel in a Great Location
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I had a very nice stay at the Renaissance Atlanta Midtown Hotel! Upon arrival, I was greeting by that well known Southern hospitality. The lady who checked me in was so nice, helpful, and gave me some recommendations for walking around by myself after dark.

The lobby is beautiful and welcoming as are the rooms. Mine was extremely comfortable and roomy. The only downside is the bathroom, which usually is the case in hotels. People go for style over function. For example, there is a makeup mirror in the bathroom. However it is impossible to use. It’s stuck on to the wall, where you have to fit between the toilet and the sink and then stand on your tippy toes in order to see. Let’s just say I gave up on this. My other issue was the lack of hot water. It was pretty cold outside and a hot shower would have been wonderful. This was an issue both days at my showers were at different times.

As far as the location goes, this hotel is in the perfect spot. You are a block from the busyness on Peachtree Street, which makes for a more quiet stay, and you can walk to just about anything in the area.

Community Smith is the attached restaurant. It has a cool vibe and delicious food, however the service is just awful.

Horrible service

Was put on hold for over 20 minutes every time I called. I called several times. This is terrible. That’s all I need to say. I’m still typing because trip advisor won’t accept shirt review. Stupid blah blah blah blah blah blah

Sad to only stay here one night
Reviewed 4 weeks ago

This is a great hotel. Great location, very quiet, comfy bed, huge room, wifi works great, lovely and very funny staff. I was very sad to stay here only one night.

I dropped one star because while it looks cool, the tubs with jets is difficult to operate if you want to take a shower. Too many bells and whistles to figure out which is pretty frustrating. Also, yes, I realize it's ridiculous to say that my jetted tub was too difficult to operate. First world problems, right?

I would absolutely stay here again.

Jessica @ Community Smith is AMAZING!!!!!!
Reviewed 1 month ago

After arriving to Atlanta late, my co-worker and I decided to grab a bite at the restaurant adjacent to the hotel. We had the privilege of meeting our server extraordinaire Ms. Jessica at the bar inside of Community Smith. Her energy was so positive and infectious to the point that I forgot I was so tired. She made exceptional recommendations for entrees (Ancient Grains...who knew), in addition to making a wonderful well needed Old Fashioned. Thank you so much for a fantastic time....I will never forget your amazing service and kindness!
