How to Get There
There are two buildings connected by a bridgeway. The North Tower is the tallest. But to get from the sleeping rooms elevator to the Meeting rooms, you have to take a different elevator and it was a little tricky getting around. Of course, you figure the layout on your last day. We spent a few days with a large group for social events. The hotel staff was very pleasant and genuinely pleased to have us. The banquet food was delicious.
I took my young daughter to a concert, and wanted to stay at the closest hotel to the stadium. The hotel is in a great location and within walking distance to everything we wanted to do. The beds were comfortable, and the room was quiet even with the high amount of people staying there. We were not able to watch tv because there were no family-friendly channels for a 7yo (PBS, Disney Jr, Nick Jr, etc.). I would have happily paid for a movie, but there were no movie channels that i saw either. However, considering the price and reputation of Omni, I was very disappointed in our overall stay. I am not usually a very nit-picky person and understand that it is hard to control all circumstances in such a large operation, but I was really grossed out by our room. There were nasty stains on the carpet around the bed and desk; the faucet on our sink leaked when turned on which left standing water on the counter at all times; the phone was so dirty and gross that I unplugged it and put it in the closet so that I wouldn't have to see it; there was standing water in the floor after a shower, even though it was a quick rinse and the curtain was closed; the shower head didn't move making it hard for my 7 year old to shower; and I could continue to go on and on. I was going to ask to be swapped to another room, but it was more trouble than it was worth, and we just stayed out of the room as much as possible. Room service also failed to deliver breakfast the first morning, and after an hour I called to check, and it had been delivered (and turned away) from another room, but no one followed up and we were left on our own for breakfast. That night after the concert, I did order again with a specific request that we WERE in the room and DID want our food and to please not cancel the order, and it arrived in a timely manner. Overall, I was very unhappy with the stay. There is a possibility that I would stay at the Omni again, hoping that it was just a fluke with an old outdated room, but next time I plan a weekend for my and my daughter in Atlanta, I will likely search out a nicer hotel and take a taxi to the concert.
What his hotel was perfect 👌🏾 amazing food 🥘 right next to the dome! If u want to stay in the best hotel down town and sleep and eat like a king 🤴🏾 go to the Omni.........Nice service all over 5 stars
3 night stay in Atlanta for our own Walking Dead Trip and Tour. Hotel is in a great location - totally felt safe, overlooks the Park and the Big Wheel and with direct access to CNN Centre. Friendly staff, room was immaculate, and we loved the cookies, milk and ice and turn down service each night. Only down side is Valet Parking at $45 a night, but we got such a great price for the room so it was not an issue for us, and the car was there for us each time we needed it. Excellent hotel - we will be back!
Good hotel, great hotel for location - any concert, sports event - you are RIGHT THERE! Walking distance to new Mercedes Benz Stadium. Parking can be a super hassle, so get there EARLY or you will be in bumper to bumper traffic! Parking is $45 - which is crazy!
Hotel is connected to the CNN Center and Phillips Arena which is convenient, you ca walk through the CNN in the Air Conditioning then exit the other side next to the Mercedes Benz Stadium!
Rooms are a bit dated, but still nice. The beds were kind of old - spring beds. It did have a flat screen TV with a good selection of channels, and adequate power outlets.
Military discount and they do have rooms that include parking, so make sure you check the hotel website for packages!
