How to Get There
Stayed at Loews Atlanta for a wedding weekend. We were given a room directly under active construction work that was so loud that you could not hear the TV. No warning at check-in of this problem, and no offer to place us in another more suitable room. I complained to the hotel and asked for a room credit, and was told “we are sorry for your inconvenience”. I will never stay in a Loews again.
We were extremely satisfied with our stay and the Hotel Staff were very friendly and helpful in tending to our needs. Really pleased. From the moment we arrived till the day we left you could not ask for a more pleasant stay.
We stayed in Atlanta for the first time in April and chose the Loews based on TripAdvisor reviews. It certainly didn't disappoint.
Unfortunately check-in was slow due to a problem with our booking, but was quickly rectified when they realised their error. Our room was large with two Queen beds. We had a view of the carpark opposite.
Didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment. The bar staff were very friendly and efficient. There's a restaurant opposite the hotel, across the carpark (can't remember what it's called) that was fabulous! We did the Atlanta Food Walking Tour during our stay that we can HIGHLY recommend. Atlanta was great ... I would love to return.
Booking this hotel for our first trip to Atlanta was a bit of a stab in the dark but we were not disappointed. Check in was quick and easy and the hotel foyer was large, bright and welcoming. The rooms were well appointed, spacious and clean. The bathroom was well stocked and spotless. Located on the main drag in mid-town there were several restaurants and bars to choose from and downtown was in easy reach by Uber.
I read a lot of the recent reviews of this hotel, which are pro and con, but I can only review the hotel I stayed at a few days ago. I could have done with a little more personality, but in truth it's an excellent hotel.
The Loews Atlanta is on Peachtree Street as is about half the notable sites in Atlanta. The location was ideal for our purposes, with lots of destinations and nice restaurants in the area. It's only a short walk to the art museum, which is currently under renovation. It's convenient to many area businesses.
My room was large and comfortable, with nice views. There was a large-fish desk area with multiple plugs, a welcome amenity on a business trip with a laptop, phone, and other devices. I had the sense that the hotel was a well-renovated version of one built around 1985 - you can see the older structure, but whatever you might want from a modern hotel was clearly there. Wifi was included in the price, as it should have been, but was fast and efficient.
The bar downstairs was pleasant and ideal for business.
If you're traveling for business or for pleasure, this is a very good choice.
