How to Get There
All in all, I liked this place. The lobby area and bar were new and well decorated. The gym was nice and well equipped. The room was spacious and the bed was ok. There are few things I didn’t like: the food was just average. Room service was nothing to write home about. Breakfast at the restaurant was ok but nothing special. The shower was small and with low water pressure. Besides that, it was all good. I’d go back there for business again.
Checked in with Tyler at the front desk. Great first impression right after the beautiful lobby. Tyler quickly checked me in and gave me great recommendations of where to go to around the area. The room was exquisite and had everything that I could need. I will definitely be staying at this hotel again.
Wonderful hotel, courteous staff and beautiful hotel. Close to restaurants and parks. Great walking area. Must try the Piedmont Park if you enjoy walking or running. The park is very clean and safe. There are many quaint restaurants in the area along with historical areas to see.
Stayed here for one night for business and based on reviews was expecting great things. Unfortunately not. Lots of availability which should have been my first clue, then my flight was delayed and I didn’t arrive at the hotel till early in the morning. Just wanting a couple hours of sleep, I asked for a quiet room. What did I get? Right next to loud fans outside and immediately next to the elevator. Like sleeping in a wind tunnel. Upon asking the front desk if there was any availability, even if I paid more(!), the monotone individual told me that the hotel was completely booked. When I had called earlier, I was told there was a lot of availability so how could that be? People just don’t want to help you. Total nightmare so stay away!
I paid 500.00 for a hot box hotel room. It was ridiculous for a suite to be as hot as it was and for the front desk to tell me that "it takes time to cool the suites due to the extra windows" are you kidding me. It was hot as blazes all night. No other rooms were available or so I was told. Then after not sleeping most of the night due to the temperature issue. I get ready to leave and call to have my car brought around from my 40.00 valet and the lady who answered said I needed to come down and wait for my car. I shared with her I was told upon checking in all I needed to do was dial 0 for my car and the bellman even wrote that on my ticket and she didn't care, she just repeated herself. I could see if it was a busy check out morning but when I got downstairs no other guests were waiting for their car. It was a ridiculous stay. I travel frequently and I don't think I will ever attempt to stay at another Loews. A suite being a hot box all night and telling a guest its because of the extra windows is absurd. Poor service recovery.
