How to Get There
Visited this hotel during a friends wedding with family. Huge facility, but service and amenities are limited. It is owned by university/hospital something like that. Older property, nothing great. Will recommend for a short stay, if you are in for business or something like that.
Attended a 4 day meeting. I travel 100 nights a year and my room, bed, temp and bathroom were among the best I had all year. It was cold for Atlanta, 30 degrees and windy 1 evening and the temp for my room did not move a bit. The meeting rooms were well equipped, spacious and again no complaints from anyone on temps.
We had buffet meals for all 3 squares and for buffet it was really good. Pancakes and omelets made to order were available.
A full service bar on the main level was well equipped and our bar tenders, Brandy and Zee were very personable. We had a great time with them.
The conference center is pretty big, so anyone with walking issues may not find it as comfortable as we did.
There is an onsite workout area that is good enough for most and 1 mile away is the Emory student center that has a huge gym and is free to folks staying at the conf center.
Mr Watson and Ebony at the front desk were also very friendly and helpful.
My husband and had started our day at 5:00am on a Friday morning... we expected that we would be settled into our hotel room no later than 2-3pm.
We ran into some unexpected issues at the hotel we had originally booked & ended up completely starving & tired at 10:50pm walking to the bar and asking even though it was so late could we please order a dinner? The Bartender, named Zee a gem said of course! We got a great appetizer of potato skins, my husband said the steak he got that night was the BEST EVER! After 11pm (after they should have closed) another Gentleman came in and asked for a burger and even though the chef have left the manager of jumped in and cooked one up for him! The manager, Zenita & Zee Were both so phenomenal especially since it was so late they chatted with us and that it is though. Just op we’re both so phenomenal especially since it was so late we chatted with us and that it is so you’re just opened up for the day even know we were sure we will both exhausted! We can’t say enough about both Zenita & Zee!!
We told them that we will be back at least a couple of times more by June 2019 since we are traveling back-and-forth from Boston for our son’s wedding next June!
The hotel was comfortable in every way during our two day visit. We didn't have the opportunity to take advantage of many of the lovely amenities as were were on campus except to return to the hotel to sleep. The staff were warm and welcoming, and looked for ways to assist us including complete flexibility with rides on and off campus. They were at our beck and call with shuttle services and made our stay just lovely. Highly recommend for visits to Emory or that section of Atlanta in general.
Cleanest and most accommodating hotel I have ever visited. Staff were extremely friendly and eager to please. The hotel restaurant staff, were most helpful. Parking was $20 daily; which can be expected for city convenience. The CDC and Emory are within close proximity.
