How to Get There
This is without a doubt one of the best hotels in Savannah, GA. The front desk, the restaurant, the help in general are superb. The grounds are well kept, ample parking is available. Rooms are very clean, if you needed anything the hotel personnel were right at your beck and call. Super view of the river...our dog loves to watch the ships go up and down the river. You have a very scenic view of the city of Savannah from this hotel.
I stayed here for a conference. Easy to get to from the airport, free ferry docks at the hotel, only 10 mins across to downtown Savannah. The workout gym is a 5 min walk and located at the clubhouse. The staff were all very friendly. The hotel was clean and very comfortable. The bed was soft and I slept so well. I recommend this hotel.
We stayed here for our one-year anniversary and had a really nice stay. We arrived a couple hours early and the front desk staff had no issues with getting us checked in early and set up in a nice room on the 14th floor. The room was in excellent condition and the floor was quiet, we had a very comfortable stay. The hotel does have roughly a $30 resort fee that includes some amenities (like access to the golf course, spa, fitness center, and ferry), however it doesn't include parking (additional $15) which did seem a bit stingy for a resort with that much space. We loved that we were right on the river though and the ferry was easy and accessible to go back and forth to downtown Savannah. We also took advantage of the nightly bonfire right off the water in the pool area and thought that was a nice touch. We didn't eat or drink on site as everything on the other side of the river is much cheaper than staying on-site. The pool area is spacious and nice as well. Overall, we were really happy with our stay and would recommend the resort to others!
Upon arrival we were politely greeted by staff and upgraded to a river view room which was clean, well arranged with a super comfortable bed. We were told the hotel will be renovating soon, which was needed as some areas seemed to be quite worn. Breakfast buffet was very good and it was nice having a Starbucks in the lobby. Price for breakfast was a bit high, $13 for 2 eggs, buffet was $29.50. The most disappointing was the food we ordered in the bar area, the pretzel sticks were cold and the shrimp cocktail totally tasteless, Prices were unreasonably high here as well. My husband woudl rather have stayed in town as in order to go to River St you need to take the ferry back and forth. Overall, our stay was quite nice.
Westin is located across the river from Savanah. Free 2 minute ferry runs every 20-30 min takes you to Savanah.
Room was fine, Great bed, nice balcony facing the river, nice pool and we got free breakfast at the restaurant for the family.
Charge for parking. Service is a bit slow and not too informative except the host at the restaurant is fantastic and helpful.
