Friendly and Special

The hotel is perfectly located. The room was clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. The front desk staff was great at helping us arrange things we wanted to do. We loved the evening performers and especially the lecture about the hotel's history. We felt taken care of in a super friendly way, no put-on airs. Overall staying there was a fantastic experience, and Carlton the bellman gave us the best send-off!

a very pleasant stay

From the time you set foot into this Historic Inn you are treated to a professional staff, that goes out of there way to make your stay the best it can be. If you want to stay in an old southern Hotel rather than a modern Hotel this is one for you. They make you feel at home. After touring the City all day , you are welcome to join them in the main room for nightly entertainment that includes Wine and cheese. OH! and get up in the morning to a hot breakfast buffet! Don't think we could've picked a better place.

On this visit we went thru Savannah. We stayed at The Marshal House hotel Savannah for two days. The staff at the reception was very friendly. The room was clean ,bed was comfortable , bathroom vaste and well equiped. Breakfast was very good and staff very welcoming. In the afternoon at the lobby ,a music entertainment took place, accompnied by a glass of wine and tasty cheeses.

A real afternoon social

The location in the historic district was good. The room and building fine for a historic inn. What makes this place special is the attentive staff, plus the cozy wine and snacks social each evening with music or a talk. Dozens of guests fit around the old parlor and enjoy the nourishment and entertainment. We felt like we really experienced southern hospitality!

Can't recommend enough

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Marshall House. Every single person -- from the front desk to the breakfast buffet to the wine reception to housekeeping -- knocked themselves out to make us feel welcomed. Our room was charming, the breakfast delicious, and the wine receptions entertaining (the harpist was very talented and great fun, and the hotel historian a treasure trove of knowledge). Would definitely return! Plus the hotel is perfectly located to explore the entire historic district of Savannah.
