How to Get There
We have encountered few bed and breakfasts as delightful as this one. Beautiful on the inside and outside. The price was decent and the food was pretty awesome. The beautiful view from the front porch was really relaxing. Everyone that worked there was very hospitable. We stayed in #1. Bed was old, bud comfy and we slept better than we both expected. The fire place was open so we felt the heat coming in from the outside. The air conditioner kept the room cool enough, but with it being on the opposite side of the room away from the bed caused the bed to get warm at night sometimes. Bathroom was cozy/small, jacuzzi tub was nice. The toilet appeared to not be fastened down and I bumped it when I was turning on the shower and it slid slightly away from the tub. The shower head seemed to loose pressure the higher we turned up the water. These were all minor annoyances. We mentioned the sliding toilet to the inn keeper just to let them know. Really enjoyed the place and it will definitely be on our list of places to consider when we come back to Savannah.
Recently stayed here while our son had orientation at SCAD. Location was ideal, right in the heart of the historic district. Had lovely breakfast every morning, hors d'oeurves and wine every afternoon and cake and tea and coffee every evening. Ceilings were 14 feet and doors were 12 feet high. Free shuttle bus for the historic district picked up right outside the inn. Our only concern was our room, which was in the front, was by the main road, so traffic noise was a little loud. But, we have already booked another stay there, closer to the back of the house and the pretty courtyard and fountain.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Forsyth Park Inn. The innkeeper, Dwayne, was exceptionally friendly and helpful with everything from restaurant suggestions, trolleys to enjoy, and the free bus to River Street which picked up right in front of the Inn. Our spacious room was absolutely beautiful, with gorgeous furnishings and very high ceilings. The bedroom and bathroom were nice and clean, the temperature in the room was perfect, and the bed was totally comfortable. The sheets were top quality and lovely. The gourmet breakfasts were the best ever!! The ladies were friendly and really did a great job with serving everything perfectly and on time. I wholeheartedly recommend this beautiful place. We did not have to use our car the entire time we were there.
There is also a lovely, private garden to enjoy.
