Friendly, eager to please staff, good breakfast, even if the Inn is a bit dirty!

The staff was friendly and eager to please. The included breakfast was good every day. Afternoon wine was a little on the "cheap" side, but hors d'oeuvre were better than just acceptable. Evening desserts were very enjoyable. Our only complaint is that the Inn needs a good cleaning, including the guest rooms. To start, my sister's bed linens were in need of changing before she even pulled back the sheets to discover many "hairs" in her bed, presumably left by the previous guests; not acceptable. The window blinds appeared not to have been cleaned or wiped in quite some time, same with baseboards and wood trim throughout the Inn. The furniture could use a good cleaning too. The outside of the building need a thorough spray down or power wash as well, due to the accumulation of dirt, debris, spider webs and eggs, etc., around all of the windows (inside too) and other places. We understand the appeal of having "original" hardware and such in an older historic residence, but not to the point of the disrepair on many of the window frames and locks; even to the point of glass no longer being sealed because of old caulking. This all gave us the impression of a place that is near being described as unkempt and "rundown". That is a shame for an Inn that COULD be so much better in appearance and overall satisfaction for it's guests! Our stay was generally a good one, but the owners should definitely being taking better care of this marvelous old home. If thoroughly cleaned and kept up, this place would surely be wonderful to stay in!

Amazing staff and facility.

The staff was exceptional. Kind, warm, helpful yet professional is hard to accomplish but Duane and Marina and the rest of the staff were totally awesome. If I go back to Savanna I will surely book this beautiful place again. Truly amazing.

At this price point you can’t beat the Forsyth Park Inn.
A very welcoming staff, hearty breakfast and main foyer that is so pleasant for relaxing and enjoying the rocking chairs with a view of the park.

I have stayed here in the main house as well as the small apartment in the back (very very quiet back there). It’s my go-to in Savannah.

The only critical thing is that I do think it’s ready for a better renovation, some more sprucing up of the furniture and hardware especially in the back apartment. If they did that it would be garnering higher rates though - so enjoy it now for less and forgive some of the dents.

It’s location is central enough to enjoy the squares for a good walk and if you don’t mind the dark a walk to restaurants- otherwise Uber for take the free shuttle.
