Wonderful Anniversary Stay
Reviewed 2 days ago

Had an amazing anniversary stay! Everyone on the staff was so helpful and friendly. Rooms were very nice, large and comfortable. Could not ask for a better location to stay. We were right in the middle of everything from shopping to sightseeing to food. Can not wait to come back!

Location was great. Floors in bathroom had hair - not clean. A salesman was reprimanded in the lobby in front of guests which made it uncomfortable for some of us.

HANK - FANTASTIC!!! Very caring and generally interested in people.

Just what I wanted

Loved this place. Very courteous staff. Angela and Jennifer were very friendly and helpful with check in and check out. I really appreciated that they held my bags after check out while I finished touring the city before my trip back to the airport. Location was great for walking to River Street and other attractions. Queen room was large and had lots of character.

Charming historic inn

The East Bay Inn was just beautiful. It's cozy, charming, friendly, welcoming, everything a Southern hotel should be. The staff was very helpful and always smiling. We particularly appreciated Hank, who seemed to feel personally responsible for our comfort. The location is perfect, right across the street from the "historic stairs, use at your own risk" to get to River Street, with everything else within walking distance. No need to look for parking. Bottled water upon request, lovely wine and cheese hour every afternoon, turn down service. We felt like royalty. Breakfast was delicious: eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, grits. Very southern. The only negative I would say about the Inn is that the original wood floors are creaky, and since we stayed on the top floor, I can only imagine what that might have sounded like in the room below ours. Plus, the air conditioning worked fine, but it was loud. We are happy to recommend the East Bay Inn, and hope to stay again when we return to Savannah.

Charming Old Savannah Inn
Reviewed 6 days ago

An old (on the outside) brick building near the river, convenient to everything Savannah has to offer. Rooms looked exactly as on website: beautiful, cozy, comfortable in our corner suite. Note: if you sleep (close to noon) you miss room service; no in-room refrigerators (am told they are working on that). But a great alternative to the same-old, bland corporate chain hotels that seem to predominate. Also a note: our corner suite was on the top floor but near a busy street corner (our sleep sound machine was magic). It might be a bit loud w/traffic in the morning if you try to sleep in. Would definitely return!
