How to Get There
I had lived in Galveston for graduate school so had been in the Tremont but never stayed there. It was pleasant overnight though if I stay again I will opt for a room not facing the street. There were people out drinking and were rather loud so I had a hard time sleeping. The room itself was huge and very comfortable (and clean)! Sadly I did not encounter any of the resident ghosts but maybe next time.
In my opinion the best and most old world charm hotel on the island. Great bar and atmosphere, rooms are very nice. I had a King Suite and it was amazing. The Roof top Bar is also a great place to have a social drink.
Very pleasant stay. Great location! Very cordial service all the way around. Rooms are well appointed.
Prices were reasonable, but $11 for a good Bloody Mary is ridiculous. Jazz music from 6:00-10:00 was good but way too loud. My wife and I were staying on the 3rd floor, and could not hear the TV in our room over the jazz.
In spite of the opportunities for improvement, we would go back because room was nice, location good and friendly staff.
