Overpriced room with few amenities. Dated.

Les start with the good:
Blake’s Bistro has wonderful food.
AC was super cold.
Pool is nice.
Self parking is available.

The other stuff:
The wait staff was abysmally slow. 3 tables in Blake’s Bistro occupied...15 minutes to get a glass of tea. 15 minutes to wait to give our order. Wow. The burger was amazing. Best hamburger I have ever had.

The pool wait staff and bar need some massive overhauling. Ashley took our drink order. 40 minutes later, and 3 trips back to us to ask what I ordered, my wife’s drink arrived...completely melted. She asked again what I ordered and finally went back to het it (virgin pina colada). So, after an hour at the pool we had one drink. The swim up bar did not “like to put in food orders.” That is a direct quote. So, back to Ashley to give our order. Ham sandwich and Cuban sandwich. Yep, 45 minutes later our food arrived. Miserable. So, the wait staff at the hotel is better avoided.

The rooms are large, but not for the price paid. Balcony was nice to have. We spent lots of time watching the pelicans fly by. We were on the 14th floor and the view was wonderful.

There was an inch gap between the door and the floor. You could hear everything all the time. Plus, you always heard when someone flushed a toilet.

The elevator is extremely slow and sounds as if it might fall at any moment.

The smokers bench is only about 10-12 feet from the door into the hotel from the parking lot. You will never leave or return without a lung-full of smoke. It is nearly always standing room only there.
********Please move the bench.

Parking lot in back is spacious and easily accessible.

There are lots for kids to do. Activities are planned all day. Fave painting, mermaid swims, etc.

***Bottom line, would I stay here again? Doubtful.

But again, the food was terrific. The food servers were terrible. The pool bar was a joke.

The valets our front were courteous, kind and very pleasant to interact with.

Very taken care of!!

Every employee at the San Luis resort was very professional and helpful and they all wanted to make our stay wonderful and genuinely cared about us!!! Right off the bat at check in we were greeted by Mrs. Debbie and she went WAY above and beyond to make us happy and took care of all of our needs, then our bellboy Baron was so precious and helpful, later that same night we made contact with Mrs. Camille about renting a cabana she also went above and beyond our WHOLE stay making sure that we were always taking care of, the next day Mrs. Roxanne at the cabana was precious and took care of our every need. I cannot say enough about how great this place is...All I want to do now is TRY to make it back as soon as possible.

Anniversary trip

My husband and I stayed for our year anniversary and decided to come back for our five year anniversary. I planned a surprise dinner for my husband in our room. The resort was amazing with helping make our night perfect. We truly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning again!

Concierge to the rescue!

We took our 3 year old and 5 1/2 month old here for the night. At 7pm I realized I forgot the dish soap and brush to clean my baby’s bottles to reuse through the night. She was already in bed so I couldn’t run to the store. I called concierge and Tommy answered. He listened to my request and went looking for something that would work but all the hotel had was harsh commercial cleaners. So what did he do? Tommy went to Kroger’s for us!! Talk about top notch service! Little did Tommy know my baby and I were both sick. We could not be more thankful for him immediately running out to assist us. Thanks to Tommy and San Luis for saving our night!

You will LOVE the new San Luis Resort!

Off the chain everywhere! The new additions are astonishing! The Blake restaurant was our favorite. The dinning experience was lovely. Not only do you have great views but the eats are fabulous. We enjoyed the drinks since they were unique and large for the price.
