How to Get There
Toilet was dirty, used and with pi all over it, I said to the receptionist but none cleaned it. When I went to bed I had to changed the bed linen by myself, the linen was used and with men hair all over, disgusting. I am not fussy, but there are limits.
Loved the location.....rooms simple modern clean. All seem to have a good view. Food great and staff nice enough. Put me in clearly not one of their best rooms at first....until I complained.... then switched rooms that had the extras that were missing in the first. Gret bathroom and comfortable bed.....nice little sitting room attached to bedroom and two balconies. Great art work around the property and parking available.
We stayed in this hotel for one night for a spa-weekend with friends. The hotel is situated a short drive from St Paul de Vence in the quiet area surrounded by forest. On our arrival and parking at the free spot in front of the hotel, a lady comes out of the door asking us what we were doing there. When we said we were guests of the hotel and need to check in she just said that we must park in another parking lot down the road. Err.... Ok. Friendly welcome...
The check-in was fast, no information given whatsoever about the hotel or restaurant or breakfast...
The room was actually nice and modern and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was also nice, with big rainfall shower. The bathroom had a window to the room that was not possible to close. The fan of our bathroom did not work, so the whole room become very damp after shower. The room had a nice terrace with comfortable seats and nice view of tennis courts and the forest. The room amenities are very basic though for a four star hotel - there was no kettle or coffee making facilities, no laundry bag and the toiletries were big 2in1 bottles attached to wall. There were also ants in the bathroom.
After check in we decided to go to the spa. The spa is very small - there is a sauna, a steam room and a jacuzzi. The swimming pool is outside and it is not heated. Being the beginning of May, it was not ready for the season - the pool was dirty and there were no cushions on the loungers around the pool and it all seemed a bit abandoned. One of our group decided to have a massage and the masseuse called Fabienne (?) was very nice and professional.
The bar of the hotel looked nice and so did the restaurant. We opted for a dinner and breakfast in a nearby town of Vence though.
All-in-all, the hotel needs some to work on service, cleanliness and amenities to became a real 4-star.
The front desk is dishonest and very impolite. They try make us paying extra fees while our reservation was clearly covering them.
No way of discussion because they look down on you!
I just recommend you to passez votre chemin!
